OK - who wins the game on Sept. 9th ?

He had 70 receiving yards last year lol

And word around Iowa City is that he has been unguardable in camp this fall. The practice pictures bear that out, as Fant is always in there making catches downfield against Iowa's stout LBers. Why don't you ask your "sources" in Iowa City how Fant has looked?

Iowa definitely has more talent at CB. Both Rugamba and Jackson are superb talents. Iowa's fourth string CB turned down an offer from Michigan to play at Iowa. That says a lot.

And at QB, outside of Park, Iowa State doesn't have much talent at all.
So, iowa has more talent at CB because.....

Michigan was still recruiting him but would not have accepted a commitment from him. They had bigger fish to fry at TE (your article confirms they were recruiting at least a couple other TEs still). In fact, Michigan later got a commitment from the 4* TE they ACTUALLY wanted.

Lol get out of here. They were recruiting him hard and Michigan was the crystal ball leader for him for all of January.

Heck yeah I will take Ferentz overall results. You wouldn't take 2 conference titles, 3 BCS bowl appearances and 5 top 10 finishes over the last 16 years?

When I said Ferentz isn't perfect I am specifically talking to his ability to lose games to double digit underdogs. Over the last 14 years I think Ferentz has lost to like 12 or 13 teams that Iowa was a double digit favorite to beat. I think 5 of those losses are to ISU. Ferentz is 9-5 vs ISU the last 14 years. It is very frustrating that Ferentz teams find a way to lose to inferior teams so often, there is no doubt about that. It isn't just losing to ISU, Ferentz loses to many other inferior teams (double digit underdogs).

Hok fan 101.

In all my years of searching, I have found it. At last I have found it.

Look and behold all! The dumbest ******* comment on the internet.

This guy Is the embodiment of an insecure hawk fan. He will tell you loudly how little he cares about Iowa state on cyclonefanatic.

He took time to register and go through all the steps to join the site, multiple times. Then run back to hn and tell everyone of those losers about how obsessed Iowa State fans are about iowa. Because, you know, Iowa state is not at the forefront of his thoughts at all times. He doesn't even care about us because we aren't their rival.

We win this game in 3 weeks, he will not post anymore. If there is no other reason to hope for a win, it's to get rid of these insecure little dicked babies

Michigan had room for one more TE. They wanted Devin Asiasi (the composite #3 TE in the country, who they would eventually get) more than Allen, for obvious reasons. They were not going to accept a commitment from Allen.

The whole "non commitable" stuff is so funny. Clone fans trying to use it to downplay Hawk recruits is funny. I'm tempered to do the same to them, but it is lame and stupid so I won't here.

Allen has proven nothing on the field. Fant on the other hand had more receptions as a true Fr than: Dallas Clark, Riesner, Chandler, Moeaki, Kittle, CJ, all were NFL TE.

Did Harbaugh try to spend the night at your cornerback's house? Allen had an offer from Michigan (no big deal), your CB had "an offer" from Michigan and that says a lot. Lol

Who was a LB until his junior year IIRC

I heard that all of our QBs are so bad they turn into middling linebackers.

I agree, I wouldn't consider the depth behind the starter when looking at QB talent. Park > Iowa QB (I think Iowa's QB will be good though and next year it will be a debate on who is better).

I will say that Iowa can withstand a QB injury though, as both are serviceable. ISU can't sustain an injury to Park. If he goes down, ISU can't even beat UNI or Kansas on their schedule.

Several reasons.

1) ISU doesn't even use its TE. How many catches did ISU TE have last year?
2) Allen hasn't even played a snap
3) Fant showed last year that he can make plays
4) If you are looking at recruits pedigree, Iowa took Fant out of Nebraska and Nebraska really, really wanted Fant. That is just as good as Michigan needing a fallback TE so they offered Allen.
  1. iSu was void of pass catching talent at TE last year. Hence very few catches. Chase Allen would have played if he didn't get hit by a car and contract mono.
  2. Correct- Fant had 9 catches. Neither player has any on field results to champion
  3. Michigan> Nebraska by far.
  4. If I was a TE recruit, I would choose iowa over Nebraska most days. iowa has a great reputation with TEs which leads me to ....
Any iSu fan claiming iSu has better TEs should just be quiet. iowa has a great reputation of recruiting high level TEs and developing TEs. And not just one dimensional TEs like EJ Bibbs was but TEs that can block and catch.

I see a very big year for Chase Allen. Lazard will demand double team. Jones will pull defenders from the middle. Just need a third WR that can demand help deep
