OK - who wins the game on Sept. 9th ?

A guy with 13 career tackles is better than someone who was all conference his freshman and sophomore year because you say so. Lol got it.

Yes. This was your reaction when I told you Wadley was better than Warren going into last season, and look how that played out. Iowa always has very good corners and this year is no different just because they aren't multi-year starters.

Iowa's corners are unproven, ISU has Peavy. That alone gets them the nod. I'm not going to say ISU's TE is better than Iowa's just because we have Chase Allen who is better than anyone you have because he hasn't proved anything yet.

We can re-visit this at the end of the year if you'd like, but I have a feeling you're not going to want to.

Also, you're not going to say Iowa State is better at TE because they aren't. Allen may be a decent player but Fant is better.

Michigan wanted Allen, they didn't want Fant. That alone says a lot

Not disagreeing with you, but what is your justification here?

Pretty sure that Arugula was the circle jerk du jour for Hok nation yesterday. Heard him being big upped on radio/podcast yesterday.

No. You said Park could turn out to be the best JUCO QB since Aaron Rodgers. Between Rodgers and Park there was this guy name Cam who was pretty good.

OK. The joke was just comparing him to best NFL Juco of all time.

But it's ISU. We're one of the worst programs in the nation. If Ferentz was .500 against MAC school over that same sample size would you still want him as your coach?

Heck yeah I will take Ferentz overall results. You wouldn't take 2 conference titles, 3 BCS bowl appearances and 5 top 10 finishes over the last 16 years?

When I said Ferentz isn't perfect I am specifically talking to his ability to lose games to double digit underdogs. Over the last 14 years I think Ferentz has lost to like 12 or 13 teams that Iowa was a double digit favorite to beat. I think 5 of those losses are to ISU. Ferentz is 9-5 vs ISU the last 14 years. It is very frustrating that Ferentz teams find a way to lose to inferior teams so often, there is no doubt about that. It isn't just losing to ISU, Ferentz loses to many other inferior teams (double digit underdogs).

Several reasons.

1) ISU doesn't even use its TE. How many catches did ISU TE have last year?
2) Allen hasn't even played a snap
3) Fant showed last year that he can make plays
4) If you are looking at recruits pedigree, Iowa took Fant out of Nebraska and Nebraska really, really wanted Fant. That is just as good as Michigan needing a fallback TE so they offered Allen.

He had 70 receiving yards last year lol
