OK - who wins the game on Sept. 9th ?

Picking stats like this is just that, picking stats. You could also say he was usually playing from behind so threw more short patterns and outs to prevent defenses. Because that is how the Big 12 plays
SMH- iSu had the lead going intot he fourth against TCU, Baylor, Okie St. They led at half against Texas. Were down 11 points to OU at half and beat TT and KU. The only games your claim even comes close to being relevant is KSU and WV and if you look at the numbers by quarter...it doesn't hold true.

Nobody has any idea how the Iowa QB's will fare.

And what it shows is Park wasnt as good as a guy that is a punter or a guy that transferred away from Georgia to CSU.
Plenty of variables to consider and if you reads Park's story, you will know he was very immature at the time and admitted it.

He still has the talent

And showed that to anyone that watched him play.
But please...give me one piece of evidence that shows iowa's QBs are better?

Who were upper classmen, had more experience had receieved more snaps in a system.

There is no evidence of Iowa's QB's.

Stanley led a TD drive in his one series against NDSU last year when Beathard was dinged up.

That is promising.

You can play after a surgery like that if you are in shape and have the proper treatment.....

Yep. Capt. Kirk probably said "break out the Stanozolol and Primobolan. But keep the dosage low, we've already sent 13 to the hospital."

Lol at using a preseason rag that predicts a single season like Athlon's as your measuring stick of being a better program.

The only people reaching are hok fans claiming that their current to be determined starting QB is better than Park.

Who said that?

I know I didnt.

The Park love is a bit much over here though. He wasnt even ranked in the Top 10 QB's in the Big 12 by a well respected source in Big 12 country.

Iowa will be a one dimensional team offensively this year, which is on the ground. Iowa State's defense is currently set up to stop the Air Raid Big 12 offenses more so than ground and pound teams like Iowa and Kansas States. Our green LB core and front 4 full of potential, but still question marks, will probably get chewed up and spit out by Iowa's O-line, TE's, and RB's. Iowa will get whatever they want on the ground, 200 yards is entirely likely.

That said, Iowa is full of almost as many question marks as us. Who is the QB? Does it matter? Who will be catching passes? Will there be passes? Will there NEED to be passes? Their whole O-line is back I believe, and they manhandled our front 7 last year, so I have little reason to believe any of that will be different this year. Whoever is the QB will have plenty of time to throw his screen passes and 5 yard outs to his FB/TE's. Just chip chip chip away until the time runs out.

All we can really hope to do is overmatch them offensively, and while we are skilled, I do not share the faith that other Cyclone fans have in Park to lead the offense. The dude is clearly talented, but in his interviews and based on his history, I fail to see a guy who is gonna keep his head up when the going gets tough, and it will against Iowa. Until he proves me wrong, Jacob Park his Steele Jantz 2.0. Wish he'd get a haircut. Fortunately, I think the future is bright for Zeb. I hope we don't have to see him this year, but I think he'll be the next great QB for Iowa State. Not Park.

If worse comes to worse, we could always trot Lanning back out there. I think he'd succeed with the pieces around him, he has intangibles and leadership ability that I've yet to see from Park. But maybe, and hopefully, Park can prove me wrong.

Not sure I see us winning this game, it would take quite a bit to do so. I think the 42-3 result last year was a fluke performance, probably on both sides, but I could see the game transpiring in similar fashion this year. Think 2013 when Iowa dominated us both sides of the ball, but let the final score look a little better in the 4th quarter by taking their foot off the gas.

Halftime score will be 24-7 Iowa after a thorough ass-kicking. Iowa gets sloppy in the 2nd half and eases off a bit defensively, but we still come up short. 34-24 Hoks.

I don't think he was injured that time. The torn hamstring is news to me though.

Well let us all now when you find out. Your health judgements are what everyone should use to determine if someone should be able to play or not. Amazing that you didn't choose that line of work actually, since you are so good at it.

I'm not sure what this even means. I wasn't the one that confirmed Scherff was injured when he played against ISU that came from your side of the fence pal.

Actually, @HawkeyeMashup has pointed out several times that ISU has the fewest wins of all P5 teams the last 10 years....including Rutgers and Kansas.
They had their up years, we had ours in 2000ish too. I'm not dwelling on it, and neither are potential recruits.

Rutgers is an even s***tier offer than ISU is. Show me a recruit that picks a school based on their success only 10+ years ago, And I'll show you a colossal f***in' moron.
