Iowa Football Recruiting

Iowa State was on Iowa's schedule last year. Compare the years when Iowa State is at Iowa versus when Iowa State is not.

2014 67,500 with ISU
2013 67,100 without ISU
2012 70,400 with ISU
2011 70,500 without ISU
2010 70,500 with ISU
2009 70,200 without ISU
2008 70,200 with ISU
2007 70,600 without ISU

Ok I just did, doesn't seem to matter if ISU is on the schedule or not.

What were 2015 and 2016?

You think Campbell is another Chizik or Rhoads? Honest question.

Too early to say. I would say no, but if closer to one than the other I would say closer to Rhoads. I had a former ISU player sit behind me at last year's Iowa v Iowa State game and he said there was not one player he knew of on those teams that liked Chizik.

Iowa must not have played football in 2015 and 2016.

Looks like football attendance is dropping.

It is dropping, I would totally agree with that. As you can see it has nothing to do with ISU being at Kinnick or not though.

Iowa used to be 70k and those days are gone. Last years nearly 70K was fueled by Iowa's 12-2 2015 season, I suspect that Iowa will dip back down to the 67-68k this year and next.

I will help you out.

2015----Iowa State not on schedule---- 63,142

2016----Iowa State On the schedule---- 69,456

Wonder why you left that out.

Yeah that's the part I don't get. Hawkeye fans will say "well Chizik and Rhoads were considered saviors too" but then will admit that Campbell is different than those two.

MIchigan, Wisconsin and Nebraskan were also on the schedule. Schools with real football programs.

Ignore away.

2015 bad attendance was due to everyone wanting Ferentz fired. 2016 attendance was due to 2015 12-2 season.

This I will give to ISU fans, Hawk fans can certainly be fickle at times.

Nebraska still has football? Every Iowa fan says Nebraska hasn't been relevant since the 90s. So which is it?

Iowa State is always the highest attended game on the Iowa Schedule.

Barta will never drop ISU from the schedule as it is a guarantee sellout.

I think the Iowa/ISU series as we know it will be done when the current contract expires.

Barta tried to take a one year break from the series to play Notre Dame at Soldier Field and Pollard would not let Iowa out of the game.
