Iowa Football Recruiting

Rhoads had a lot of people fooled. Once his/his staffs poor recruiting/development caught up to him he was doomed. He won some games with guys he didn't recruit (he did have a few good players, so I'm not saying they all weren't his recruits).

I always liked him and wanted him to succeed. That K-State game really was tough to swallow for many reasons.

This isn't a knock on Park, but holy hell that was a crappy highlight video as far as how it was put together. Don't feel like I even saw a complete play in that whole mess. Loved the slo motion shotgun snaps??? LOL

It's pretty impossible to knock on a player like Park IMO

I think anytime you get the pleasure to watch a talent like Jacob Park it is something you should cherish regardless of how the tape is put together.

I can appreciate the excitement for CMC and think he could end up being a good coach for ISU, but anytime there's talk of a "culture" change like this it's just kind of stupid. Iowa tried the same thing a few years ago when there was all the talk about "new" Kirk and a changed culture in the locker room and within the Iowa program. Strategies and tactics change, attitudes change, mindsets and maybe even philosophies change. But the culture of a college football program is built over a long period of time and can't magically transform within the matter of an off-season. Hayden Fry changed the Iowa football culture from an expectation of losing to an expectation of winning, but it took him the better part of a decade to do it.

You made something up, I asked for a link, you apparently have the link (lol) but just don't want to share it. You're a troll but the problem is you aren't even good at it.

You're exactly right. And at no point in the article or in my post was there any assumptions that everything was now changed and fixed. It's a slow and steady process. But the important thing is that it's actually happening. This isn't a Paul Rhoads rah-rah speech, it's the rubber meeting the road. Finally, a real and tangible change that's long past overdue. There's real reason for optimism.

I guess I'd need to see more than players putting in extra hours over the course of a few months to believe a culture was changing but I'm all for optimism.
