New Amelia Earhart Evidence

Wouldn't Imperial Japan have liked to use those two as potential bargaining chips? It's hard for me to believe they just let them rot in a prison anonymously.

I'm not saying it's true or untrue but they most definitely let prisoners waste away in deplorable conditions.

My uncle did.

Oh, yes- no disagreement here. Sorry for your uncle.

Amelia was high profile though. She had to be one of a handful of women in the world emerging from a cockpit sporting pants and a headset. If you're in her shoes wouldn't you be saying: "I'm kind of a big deal. America will come for me."

"....Japanese authorities told NBC News they have no record of Earhart being in their custody...."

At that point in time, w/ the Japanese "empire" reaching far into a multitude of Pacific Islands their "record keeping" was not the best. Not only did they not have a record of Earhart they also had no record of the inhabitants of their own islands including their own service personnel.

I think this depends on how she was captured. Was she kept on one of these islands for the remainder of her days and never made it back to the Japanese mainland? Did she try to escape and was killed during her escape? Did she use a fake name to hide her identity so she could hopefully seem like a normal citizen and be let go easily?

of course, this "new" evidence, ties in real well with the conspiracy theorists out there, that have actual marine testimony, that they burned and destroyed her plane on Saipan and buried in near the runway on orders from the Navy Department.

not a great picture. I don't see how you can determine who is in it or what is being towed. Still, I love this kind of stuff, and will plan on watching the show on Sunday.

This is what I was thinking at first, then I remembered that recent 2 part DB Cooper new evidence show, so I'll probably pass unless I hear good things.
