Awesome movie and great choice for Father's Day (see Chris Pine's character for dudes who can't accept a female hero).

Just to make it clear, I do not have an issue with female heros. Especially since you are a superhero to me, Carver's. Any woman who has a dozen kids is tough in my book.

I finally got back to the gym today. Not only not used to it, but it was humid too. Despite hard to breath, I got through the 35 minutes pretty well. Now for more water and choc milk.

I walked 2mi before 7am and mowed the lawn this morning. When it came to the cardio portions of my at home workout, I fast forwarded through them today.

I was driving south today and caught a picture of Birdy mowing the law. Looks like great cardio!!!

home today and see some smallish branches from one of the crab trees on the ground. Guess the 3748 weather alerts I got about the weather while in NY were indicating some storms. But for real, one night there were special weather alerts at 12am, 12:15, and 12:45am. Looks like we had icky storms pretty much every day and more on the way tomorrow.

Wedding was beautiful - so many tears. Never cried that much at a wedding, another friend said the same. Couple has been through a good bit moving across the country twice and spending several stressful years a thousand + miles apart and sacrificing a lot for each other. They also got married on my and DH's anniversary :) We think it's a pretty ok day to get married. We are all just so happy for them to finally be together. Well, until residency starts - but I imagine groom will move with his lady :)

Fun times with friends, now to stay home the rest of the summer!

also, never seen a groom lose it like that. we all turned to look at her, and she looked Ah-may-zing. So gorgeous. Look back at groom, he's done for. Myself and lady friends proceed to lose it as well, haha. MVP to friend who had 5 tissues when both meow friend and I had forgotten to grab some on our rush out the door.

**** hail. Spent three hours cleaning up leaves and branches today. My hostas took a much worse beating then I thought. Not totally destroyed but pretty beat. Last week I was admiring the big Sum & Substance hosta that, after years of trying to get it going, just took off this spring and was looking awesome. Operative word, was.

I cannot kill my hostas. I've mowed over them twice, but they keep growing back. Next step is just digging the darn things up. I just can't muster the effort to go from thought to deed.

Hey, give me some credit. I use a self propelled push mower. That is how I mowed at my parents growing up, though.

I told my girls I hope we are giving them some life skills. I have a friend on FB who was recently divorced and now must do homeowner things by herself. She bought a brand new self propelled mower but couldn't figure out why it was so hard to push. It took a friend of her son (probably about 11yrs old or so) to show her the bar that engages the mechanism.
