Speaking of mornings. Who the heck schedules 7 am basketball camp for 10 year olds? Our wonderful coach. Not fun dragging 2 teenagers out of bed for 7 am practices and then get the youngin up. Especially after all had games last night.

We are the most confused with our oldest on how to handle his games. He is in a crazy loop with baseball. He will start at a various position (changes everytime now) for a couple days. He will make an error and the coach will remember that he despises our kid (our kid has been told by the other players since 8th grade that the coach openly tells them that he doesn't care for our oldest.......gotta love my wifes relatives) and bench him from the field. He will then DH for a batter until he strikes out and then he gets benched completely for a week. Then the cycle starts over. Wife's family tells us we can't talk to the coach because of his wedding around the 4th and they don't want any waves. Anybody have a good reason for me to miss this wedding, I would much appreciate it.

I'll make you my designated plant waterer while we are out of town a few days, so tell them you are busy. Honestly, I do need someone to water my flowers. All our good neighbors have moved so I have no one on the block to ask. I was coming home today and was stopped by the realtor of the new neighbors moving in. She said they were out of country for a month, so if we saw anything suspicious going on to let her know. The new neighbors are both professors/associate professors in the College of Business.

Shout out to the unsung actor in Ghostbusters...the gentleman at the elevators before Peter, Ray, & Egon go up in the hotel.

"What are you supposed to be, some kind of cosmonaut?"

"That's gotta be some cockroach."

"I'll take the next one."

Only three lines...but delivered with such aplomb.

I got a call the other day from one of those scammers telling me my PC had phoned home to Microsoft. I ****** with him about 10-15 minutes before I explained to him that I knew more about computers than he ever will.
I kept asking if I should right click or left click on buttons and when he asked me what I saw I told him trees and grass. When he got upset with that I told him I thought he was talking about my windows so I was looking out them to verify they were working properly. When I finally told him I got to the command line and he was asking me to type something in he was saying stuff like "A as in apple" so I was going ok, ok,ok and and tapping on the counter. I finished with "C ..... as.......in....... char....lie" Then he got upset because I wasn't supposed to type the "as in charlie" part. LOL

I legit lost it at "trees and grass" and then again at the last bit. Well done.

Get to be up at 3am to make the now familiar drive to the airport. Fun. I'm still only like half packed and need to plant like a gazillion petunias tonight. Why did I think on Monday (when I bought them) that I'd have time to get those planted by now. Dh and I are both looking forward to being back next week. Feels like we haven't stopped moving since we left a month ago. We were both dragging this week and lots to do. But, we get to spend the next four days (well, I suppose travel takes the bulk of 2) with our friends celebrating the wedding of the couple who moved back east. It should be a good time and it'll be a while before we can all get together again.

Ha, husband of one couple sent me a snap - they went a day early to spend time in Montreal first and the pic is an empty pitcher of sangria that was full. I take it they are enjoying their time!

That may be a KC (as in Kansas City) term...because my son who lives there is the first person I heard using it as an adjective. :D

Well, we have been ramping up our murder totals lately.

I'm waiting for Mayor Sly James to spin it as some sort of counter-terrorism campaign. "Here in Kansas City, we kill our own citizens, so you'd better believe when a foreign presence comes in and threatens our way of life, they don't stand a chance."
