Iowa Football Recruiting

Yes, both Iowa and ISU schedule was easier when they played 8 conference games. Going to 9 conference games when you are a bad program is tougher. Yet to think 6 wins is difficult is stupid. Beat the bad teams on your schedule and a couple average teams and you win 6 games.

So comparing Mac's record to anything recent is kind of apples and oranges. Also it's not the going to 9 conference games that is tougher it's not getting the chance to avoid good teams like when ISU used to dodge Oklahoma and Texas and Iowa dodges Ohio State almost every year

Or you know, if ISU wasnt a bottom feeder that would be one more bottom feeder ISU could play.

The schedule is always going to be tougher when you are consistently 8-10 in a 10 team conference.

That is true but not sure how you could disagree with what I said. Are you saying Mac didn't have it easier with the Big 12 North? This is mind boggling considering Hawkeye fans still talk about how easy that division was

Why are you saying I disagree with you?

I didnt rate your post "disagree", all I did was provide another point as to why ISU's fans think their schedule is so tough.

Did Mac have it much easier with the Big 12 North than CMC will have it now? Yes or no

Yes.

Did Mac have it easier because he finished out of the basement several times and wasnt always a bottom feeder? Yes or No

Our football program has not been good. But CMC has us going in the right direction. This year we will win more games than Iowa, despite the fact that you play a joke of a schedule.

You cant even be taken seriously at this point.

Have you seen Iowa's schedule this year?

Every conference has Good Teams (top 25) Average teams (Bowl teams) and Bottoms feeders (non bowl teams). 4 of the last 5 years the Big12 has had 3 good teams, 3-4 average teams and 3-4 Bottom Feeders. If ISU were Average team like Macs teams were they would play one more Bottom feeder every year, and one less average team.

OU, OSU don't look at the Big12 schedule and see a tough sledding. They see that they have to play 2 ranked teams, and 7 average teams/Bottom feeders.

Be better like you were under Mac, and the schedule would look a lot easier.

Mac was 27-68 in the Big 12 North.

Shayok has played in more big time NCAA tournament games than anyone on the current Iowa roster will play in in their entire careers. Really glad he is in Ames and in a new offensive system. I could watch that Virginia - Iowa basketball game last year over and over. Shayok is going to be a really nice player when he's eligible.

What's an "average team"? Like 6-6? Top 60ish?

Seems he should get a Statue built since he took ISU to 5 bowl games and finished in the top 25 once.

That might be a bit much. ISU requires you to win at least 40% of your conference games to get a statue built in your honor.

I did include them as average, but that is the bottom of average. Just for simplicity I said "average" for Bowl teams, but outside the top 25.

I realize lot is exceptions to this, both in that many 6-6 should be called bottom feeders and some 9 win un ranked teams are good.
