Iowa Football Recruiting

Iowa's football program puts up ISU posters for their big game, they don't put up any other teams posters for any other game

Poster aren't motivation, coaches are.

Iowa motivates its players for every game. If ISU ever won a championship I'm sure the Iowa coaches would show them those championship and tell them they don't have any like they did when they played NDSU. Or If ISU ever waxed Iowa by 30 like Minnesota did, Iowa would motivate them like they did vs Minnesota. Or if playing ISU would ever lead to a BigTen divisional title I'm sure the coaches would motivate the kids like they did vs Nebraska when the team said they didn't want to celebrate a Division championship at home vs Purdue, but after the Nebraska game instead.

Your troll is cute, but you try entirely too hard on this Super Bowl stuff.

Dude I just provided a link that Iowa's program hung up ISU posters and they only do it for ISU. It's OK to wave the white flag

Don't ever get into a business in which you have to motivate people, you would be ****** at it just hanging poster all over the place.

Then why do they hang ISU posters and tweets for only the ISU game?

That's just one thing they do to motivate for their Super Bowl. They move trophy cases, they play the ISU fight song all week, etc. They pull out all the stops for their rivalry game

I missed quite a bit since I was on rivalry section.

Don't worry, I have you covered. Monday is either going to be an ANF discussion or back to Play in Game vs NCAA Tournament. Tune in if either subject interesting to you. Hell, they might hit on both of them.

Good times.

Looks like I might have been wrong, looks like posters and tweets will still be on the menu for Monday.

You think playing an opponents fight song = Super Bowl?

No I think printing off tweets, making a collage of a team celebrating and hanging that up next to that team's official poster, moving trophy cases, etc. proves that ISU is Iowa's football program's Super Bowl

If ISU goes to black uniforms (which it looks like is a strong possibility), that will be the BIGGEST 'super bowl' and 'little brother' move - going back before I followed Iowa Football. And that is saying something considering the level of emphasis both McCarney and Rhoads put on the CyHawk game - to keep their AD happy and essentially stay off the hot seat (as long as possible).

So poster + fight song = Super Bowl?

Iowa regularly plays opponents fight songs. Iowa uses multiple different motivational techniques each and every week for every opponent. Ferentz has coached in 18 of these, and you found a poster and a tweet over 18 years? All you have done is shown that Iowa doesn't motivate enough for this game.

That will top CMC picking Thunderstruck to come out to last year. Same band of the intro music that big brother has came out of the tunnel to in years.

I've never seen a poster or tweet for any other game than the ISU game. It's not that hard to follow along here, your program cares more about the game than my program does. I'm actually kind of jealous

So 1 poster, 1 tweet (this was done by a player, not a coach) a fight song (which they do vs lots of teams) over 18 years? Sounds like maybe the coaches don't motivate the way I thought they did. This is pretty disappointing. I wish that Iowa would dress up tackling dummies, and make the game the only priority for the season like Mac and Rhoads did.

More than they do for any other team and actually I know they have done at least 3 posters
