Let's do this: 22 positions x top 50 at each position = 1,100 players. Using the number given earlier of 1.086M (total HS football players) divide that by 4 (freshmen though seniors assuming equal numbers) = 271,500. So, if there are 271,500 HS senior football players graduating every year, that says only 0.4% (1,100 / 271,500) make the top 50 at each position. In other words, the kids not ranked in the top 50 at each position make-up 99.6% of all players.
Most hokeye fans I know aren't worried about his durability now, he put on 5#'s
I would bet he averages 25 touches per game. He averaged almost 16 per game last year and will get a big chunk of Daniels 213 carries from last season.
Add to the fact he is also lobbying to return punts and/or kicks and he will approach 25.
That is actually a pretty good over/under. I would take the under too just cause of the injury risk of any FB player.
That's 23 carries a game if Iowa plays 13 games. He's too tiny not to get hurt with more carries IMO
If he gets injured, I doubt it will be because of his size. Guys get injured all the time at this level of football both big and small. Just the nature of the beast that is football.
Its not just carries though. He caught 36 passes last season and that number should increase.
Sorry I meant touches not carries. I don't see anyone he goes over 300 touches with his size
