Notes for any team interested in his services:

Markel's a very good on ball and perimeter defender. He has quick hands and feet. On offense, he's capable of knocking down open 3s and is a very solid slasher to the basket. The problem with Markel's game is that he's far too passive. He disappears entirely from games and you don't even know he's there. I think he could be a very solid starting-level pickup for a P5 team and a star for a mid major team.

Edit: I think we'll see Ole Miss involved here. Just a hunch. Markel's a homebody, and Ole Miss is close and is involved. He could probably go to a blue chip program, but as no better than a 6th man.
