Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

No clue, if he shoots the second most shots on the team he will have more than 10ppg

Jordan and Thomas took about the same amount of shot per game. Thomas was good for 1.5 more PPG on his 8.7 shots per game. That is comparing a Sr to a Fr, so I'd say I'm pretty happy with how many shots Jordan took and how he scored his Fr year.

Why won't you answer the question? What do you think Wigginton will avg? I said I expect Cook to be at 14/15 and 8. I said I think both Jordan and Pemsl will be over 10 PPG. What is so hard about this question?

Thomas scored more on less shots I know.

I have no idea what role Wigginton will play or who we are adding. It's easy to project returning players

Jackson will average 10-12 ppg, Young 8 ppg, Babb who knows because we have pieces to add

So Jackson will put up numbers comparable to Bohannon as a freshman and Young will put up numbers less than Pemsl and Cook did as freshmen.

Sounds about right.

Shouldn't the expectations for a 4* stud coming in be off the charts better than a guy Clones fans mock non stop? According to this site Jordan is a terrible, horrible player, maybe the worse PG ever at a Power school level. Isn't that setting the bar awfully low so say he will get at least what Jordan did?

You know that's not how basketball works, right? Different teams will use players differently based on the makeup of the team.

Wiggington won't be asked to jack up 15+ shots per game, hoping to make 6 of them.

Also, because Prohm planned ahead a bit, Wiggington won't be relied upon to be the main PG from day one.

Iowa really screwed the pooch on this season.

You'll rarely ever get Ohio St, Indiana, AND Michigan St to be as porous as they were this year. All bring back solid players and better recruits than Iowa.

Not to mention, you've got Illinois (who gave Iowa trouble) returning 4 of top 8, AND bring in a top 11 recruiting class full of players better than what Iowa will return.

Michigan returns 3 guys who averaged over 9 ppg and better recruits.

NW returns 6 of top 7. They were already a better team.

Minnesota returns 6 of top 7. They were already a better team.

So just thinking about the above, is the future for Iowa REALLY that bright? They certainly should improve, but clearly they aren't the only team in the B1G that will get better....

Does it matter who scores what? A team finds a way to win games, not just score points.
This. So much this. The Senior Monte vs Freshman JorBo argument that they're equal needs to stop.

One has three Big 12 tournament 'ships, made the Tournament all four years and is going to shatter a NCAA career record.

The other just played against South Dakota in a meaningless game in March.

What? Is this serious? Taking 8.8 shots isn't anything like taking 15 per game. Plus I'll bet you right now Wigginton will shot more than 8.8 per game, because he will have to because ISU doesn't return much. Unlike you I don't think that is a bad thing, but it isn't like ISU has '14 and '15 recruits waiting in the wings to take over next year.

I expect Wigginton to shoot better than 38% from the floor and to not be incredibly terrible on defense if that's what you're asking
A true freshman that shot 40%+ from three, over 86% from the line, while averaging 10.5 points and 5 assists is pretty good in a Power 5 conference. Now, does he have the ceiling Wigginton has? No. But, if he averages those numbers or a little better maybe over the next three years, that is a pretty damn good career.

Iowa was in a "Power 5 conference" this year.

Link? I'd be curious to see it.

I have been lurking here long enough to see lot and lots of post by Clone fans ripping him. I have also seen you consistently ripping those guys, you have seemed to support him, but don't pretend that lots of ISU fans were way down on him, and ripped him up and down.

Internet posters you mean? Big difference.
