Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

Huh?
I'm not sure I've ever mentioned the word Elite and Iowa, let alone Iowa basketball! Nor have I talked about the NCAA tourney, as I'm not expecting that we will win a game in the Big Ten tournament, let alone 2 which we probably need to get a shot at an at large bid.

Yeah, the only fans that think their bball program is "elite" are ISU fans.

(was talking about ISU and being sarcastic--NCAA wasn't a real sure thing until win #18.)

Now it makes more sense, I was just confused as we were joking back and forth, and then that came out of no where. I do enjoy the comic relief provided in this thread instead of listening to Iowa homers and CyTwins (and 1976) go back and forth with useless banter.

6 straight tournament appearances is pretty impressive even you will admit that. Never been done in the state of Iowa before

It is rather impressive, good on ISU for getting it together the 2nd half of the season, because it looked bleak at times. Just need that inside presence to increase and they could make a heck of a run.

I never questioned if we were making the tournament at all so I wouldn't say it was bleak at any point

Having it in DC doesn't really help. Delany is a moron for making that move.
I usually don't really pay attention to what the B1G conference does for tournaments/title games and stuff, but even I was scratching my head after that announcement. And did I see he is trying to move it to NYC also? That East Coast Big 10 fan base is really getting treated.

Iowa fans don't go to games that are in Iowa City. Doesn't really where it is played
No fans are going to be at the BTT, sans schools big donors and player's parents that go to every game. It's going to be a pretty lame conference tournament atmosphere.

Yeah Maryland and all 400 Rutgers fans.

Should have never added Maryland or Rutgers. Should have just kept it at Nebraska. Now it is too far spread out.

Chicago and Indianapolis were perfect, I would tune into the final couple rounds of the B1G because the place always seemed packed and electric. Just can't see that continuing with the push east.

Agreed. The BTT on the east coast makes me cringe. Midwestern fans of Big Ten schools could easily drive to Indy or Chicago on a whim if they wished. A trip to DC doesn't afford most fans that option.

Having so many low income fans really hurts you guys

Pretty much Carver 2.0?

but JorBo is still a better shooter

True, 3 point shooting percentage is the only measure of shooting ability. That's why guys like Darren Collison, Allen Crabbe, and Malcolm Brogdon are considered better shooters than Steph Curry and Klay Thompson
