Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

True, 3 point shooting percentage is the only measure of shooting ability. That's why guys like Darren Collison, Allen Crabbe, and Malcolm Brogdon are considered better shooters than Steph Curry and Klay Thompson

Bohannon is shooting 36% from the field

Should have never added Maryland or Rutgers. Should have just kept it at Nebraska. Now it is too far spread out.

I had a Big 14 homer talk **** to me a few years ago about WV in the Big 12, but then tried to legitimize Maryland and Rutgers like there's any decent reason for it.

It was a strange conversation, although I guess WV adds a decent football school along with basketball.

I usually don't really pay attention to what the B1G conference does for tournaments/title games and stuff, but even I was scratching my head after that announcement. And did I see he is trying to move it to NYC also? That East Coast Big 10 fan base is really getting treated.

It is in NYC next year which means it is going to be a week early because MSG will also host the Big East tourney.

Pretty sure somewhere in this abyss of a thread I predicted Baer would win 6th man of the year. That should offset my miss on Christian. Though I do still think he'll be a matchup nightmare in the coming years.
Disagree,if Simeon Carter is still here, he will out celebrate Christian on the bench.

It is impressive for Iowa or ISU, but not even close to being considered "elite" in college bball.

Wasn't there an article the other day that gave the longest streaks in college basketball? Five straight was T-9 on the list. That may not be "elite", but it's a hell of a lot closer than Iowa fans would like to admit.

Oh wow. That means some teams will have two weeks between games. That's more than Christmas break. Not sure I'd be a fan of that if I was a coach.

Making the tournament six straight times and two Sweet 16s is impressive, but not anywhere close to being considered "elite". Making deep runs in the tourney and winning conference championships regularly makes you elite.

If you are going to continue to argue this "elite" nonsense please provide the proof of all these ISU fans that are saying that.

No, 6 straight berths isn't elite, but it's damn impressive for a non blue blood. In order to crack the top 10 in consecutive berths (all-time) you'd have to go to 15 straight. Within those 10 teams, only one isn't a blue blood (Gonzaga). We are tied for 6th in active streaks at 5, about to be 6. Depending on what happens with MSU, we could move up to a 5th place tie.
