It's well documented how much they prepare for the ISU game over all the others. They hang up posters, they print off ISU players tweets and post them in the locker room, they move trophy cases, play the ISU fight song all week, etc. I don't know how you just can't take a compliment when I'm saying I'm jealous of how Fran and Kirk and their players prepare. Geez dude
CyTwins - I have a couple ideas that I wanted to run by you....to help you, the crazy clone fanatics, clone players and clone coaches take the Iowa game more seriously......and also let the world know that cyclonenation is on the rise. See my list of ideas below....
- Have Jamie Pollard put up billboards all over Iowa declaring it a Cyclone State. Now his might be controversial since Iowa State didn’t actually beat Iowa (head to head) in any major sport (this year), but I’m sure Jamie can (at least) figure-out how to further promote ISU Cross Country success.
- Have Jamie send out multiple tweets – with reference to the fact that January bowls don’t matter anymore (which is a great jab at Iowa). This also might be controversial, since ISU has never actually been to a bowl in January…or really any significant bowl for that matter, but again, Jamie can always find a way to swing the attention back to the Cross Country program, if all else fails.
- Have Randy Peterson start the hype train for next year’s bowl bound cyclone football team. I know Randy is very conservative with his enthusiasm for ISU athletics.....so you and 1976 might need to get on the horn to convince him. I would let 1976 do the talking....he uses easy to understand words and doesn't let mispronunciations, misspellings or punctuation get in the way of making a lasting point.
- Have Monte Morris make a twitter statement claiming that Iowa State is better than Iowa in all sports. It also would be nice to understand what exactly he had planned for the Iowa crowd (earlier this year). I don’t think anyone ever got to see it….so maybe he could break that out in some sort of clone hype video. Maybe get Matt Campbell to lend a hand....I know Matt can do some creative things with twitter.
- Get Alan Lazard to tweet out that the Big Ten is a joke. Make sure he emphasizes that although he only has eight wins in his career.... one of those is against Iowa (a Big Ten Team).
- Convince the Iowa State football coaching staff that they should not back down from recruiting head to head against Iowa, regardless of how many times they've been out recruited in the past. Additionally, dress-up tackling dummies in Hawkeye football uniforms as a motivational tool. This should help get the players undivided attention during CyHawk week.
- I think you and 1976 should set-up a program where you mentor other young fanatics on the benefits of living with parents after college and spending all free-time (which is basically most of the day) on the cyclonefanatic message board. Additionally, you need to emphasize (to the young fanatics) the importance of being able to rip on Iowa Football and Basketball constantly....and that facts are optional. It only matters that you get on the message board early and often during the day - when most others are working..... that way you limit the chance that someone (with a brain) will be able to challenge any outrageous statements.
- Have 1976 go back to school (which also includes high school) and learn how to write a legible sentence, so we don’t have to always assume that what he is trying to say is really, really stupid….we can actually confirm it. This will help you (personally) look waaay smarter and earn more credibility with the fanatics.
- You should get ISU personalized license plates that say CyTwins. Not only are you helping the ISU marketing machine.......it might also help you get some decent looking clone chicks (or dudes).....why not, right?!
Finally, I know a lot of these ideas are waaay out there and doubt you, Jamie, 1976, the crazy clone fanatics, clone players and/or clone coaches have enough time or energy to implement everything I am proposing......but just think about it. If you can help to implement even just half of these ideas, no one will ever doubt (again) that Iowa State is seriously motivated to beat Iowa and ready to take over the Hawkeye State.
