Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

There is also a thing called the eye test. Do you watch other games also or do you just study KenPom stats?

If you were to watch both teams what gives you any indication we are so much better than Iowa right now? Yeah, I get it we played close against 3 good teams, but we didnt win any of them. Our best win was against Texas Tech which just lost to the worst team in the conference.

Now, if in a couple weeks we have wins over Kansas and West Virginia at home, and another road win at maybe Oklahoma or Vandy then Ill agree with you, but as of today we have done nothing to suggest we are so much greater than Iowa is right now.

What'd the eye test tell you tonight?

Well northwestern is about 49 points better than ISU, so...

Possibly...Iowa needs to play ISU again to officially make it a win.

If I did the math right (likely didn't), going by the Omaha, ISU, and Iowa basketball love triangle, Iowa's still at -21.

Good chance they'll meet up in the NIT. If it's in NYC, and Carver counts as 1 point in Vegas, I'd assume it will be a double digit Iowa win again.

Gonna need to be 22 points according to my new scale for justifying meaningfulness of instate rivalry games.
