Iowa vs. NDSU

I actually admire King for coming back another year, however, it was a really stupid move on his part financially. He won the Thorpe Award for crying out loud. If he does anything less than that this year, he'll fall in the draft. And that's if he even stays healthy, which he was at the end of the year last year.

As for him being demoted from captain, I can see it. I was at the Iowa-ISU game and boy does this guy have an attitude. I know most college football players do, but this guy takes it to a new level.

During warm ups Iowa's punt returners were catching punts and running them back and eventually handing the ball back to the assistant coach who would then give the ball to the long snapper. All the Iowa punt returners were doing this, but King would drop the ball about 10 yds from the assistant coach and make him walk out to get it. Then he would dance like an idiot back to the other end of the field to receive another punt while the other guys would just sprint back there.

I didn't even know he doesn't come out on the field with the rest of the team, is that really true?

If so, who would vote for him as captain?
The internet is an amazing thing. Expect to see this as a headline on ESPN or SI in the next few hours.

Yeah, it usually goes up.

I still think he'll get drafted but this will incident will definitely hrow up a red flag. Combine that with Mabin being terrible and that's really hurting his stock. People are going to just throw at Mabin all day and King won't get his INT's

You just lost to an FCS school and your best player just lost his spot as a captain. I'm sure it's no big deal

He for sure will still get drafted. I don't ever thing he was going to go in the first round (even if he came out last year) he will be a 2nd or 3rd round pick and have a nice career like Hyde is having with the Packers.

Still a lot of season left, but his lack of production because teams aren't throwing to his side won't hurt his stock. I think he seems like a good kid from everything that I have read but who the hell knows.
