Game of Thrones Season 6

I haven't been a huge fan of Dany's story, but that scene was bad ***. I'm kind of curious what her next conflict will be. GRRM would have her spend 5 years getting the Dothraki horde to the sea and another 5 getting them boats.

I think it's lining up pretty well for her to get her horde to Mereen just in time for Euron Greyjoy to show up with his fleet and ferry the Dothraki and remaining Unsullied over to Westeros at the end of this season. Then next season lines up as a battle for The Seven Kingdoms and an even bigger battle with The Others.

What about the perfumed senechal?

The warning from Quaithe (sp?). She just says beware, doesn't she? Not a strong foreshadowing that Dany will be killed by whoever it is.

But that is interesting as I imagine Quaithe would be on the show again some time. Otherwise, why even have the character on the show? Who knows, as I stated in the thread earlier, would not be surprised if GRRM passes before he ever finishes.

This is my exact thoughts on Benjen Stark as well... either through Bran or having been on the other side of the wall this whole time I feel like he still has a part to play.

Hmm. Maybe Benjen will play a part in getting Bran back South of the wall? Maybe he's been shadowing The Others all this time to scout them out for the impending battle.

Well he is probably related to Sansa one way or the other. At least he didn't provide a food and fashion review.:dull:

Man, who was more dull to read, Sansa or Bran's trip to the north?!

Any chance the Tyrells use their army, with the Faith Militant to overthrow the Lannisters? Lady of Thorns speaks with the Sparrow, Margaery and Loras confess, and Tyrells convince the Faith to imprison Cercei and Jaime for incest murder etc. May be a long shot...but the Lannisters have allowed a Tyrells army into the city.

The doublecross is always in play I think. I don't think they successfully take out the Faith Militant either way.

I think this in itself will be where it goes wrong for Cersei. They'll drive out the High Sparrow, but then they've got a huge army in the city that doesn't answer to her (or the King for that matter0

Maybe, but the original season 6 trailers showed Jamie in the riverlands so I don't see it happening that way.
And there is no way Loras or Lancel will survive this season. Just don't see it

Triumphant return to Meereen with dragons and an entire Dothraki Horde. Then, finally on to Westeros!

I am still hopeful that the army takes awhile to arrive from HighGarden and Cercei's trial by combat proceeds. A battle between Ser Gregor and a healed Hound would be awesome. Her champion goes down, but the army arrives and "defeats" the Faith Militant, saving her from immediate danger, but she is oblivious to the bad situation she and Jaime have installed with the Tyrells getting the upper hand.

Of course, I do not think the Lannister-Dorne hatred is over yet either. Are the two Sand Snakes still in KL? Cercei was prophesied to lose three children. Perhaps they assassinate Tommen?

So, if that happened, where would it leave the "rightful" aka Baratheon, line of succession? Gendry, I believe. Also
Edric Storm
but he's not a character in the show that I'm aware.

In all likelihood, it would be a massive power vacuum.

It could still happen I guess, but I'd been hoping that Tommen would turn out to be an actual good king in spite of his mother's influences. I kept hoping he'd grow a pair, deal with the High Sparrow and Faith Militant in his own way that would earn him some respect outside of Cersei's influence. That would then lead to some interesting tension when Dany shows up.

Have wished for the same. And for Ser Pounce to be named Hand.

I don't think Roberts Bastards have ever been considered part of the line of succession. Only legitimized bastards can be heirs.

The only reason that Gendry was deemed dangerous by Cersei was that he showed the strength of Roberts genetics and his existence lent credence to Ned's claims that the blonde kids weren't Roberts.

Also, Cersei wanted to kill all of his bastards out of spite.

But when the line has otherwise ended, they form a council and choose the next king. With Cersei's children dead, it's very conceivable they'd consider
Edric
as he's an acknowledged bastard of Robert. Not legitimized, but definitely known. Gendry might also be considered, although Varys is likely the only person left alive who knows he's Robert's child, and he's not likely to vouch for him over Dany.

To be quickly filled by a blonde gal and her three dragons.

I thought this was all King Joffery? I swear, when Tyrion confronted her about this, she acted like she was helpless to stop him or was unaware that he had been killing Roberts bastards. Maybe I'm mistaken?

Nope, you were right. It was implied Joffrey was responsible

Dany's story is perpetual B.S. poor girl sold to a khal who dies shortly afterwards. Walks into fire and hatches extinct dragon babies. Shows up poor as dirt and conquers a continent. Enemies all around. Rides a dragon to safety. Captured by a hoard. Two episodes later she is commanding that hoard. This ***** has done everything but **** golden eggs.

The infatuation with her is crazy. She should have been beaten, raped, and murdered long ago. Essos is not a friendly place for poor little girls trying to transport dragon babies across vast wildernesses while begging for change. I could skip her chapters and be perfectly fine with it. I realize there are wargs and walkers and reanimated kingsguards and giants and 3 eyed ravens, but Dany's story is too over the top for me.
someone kill this *****, please.

Watching a fantasy drama; complaining about things happening in the show that typically happen in fantasy dramas.

Sounds about right.
