About the only thing worse than being born in i-city is throwing a 5 count on your last ball of bowling a potential 300 game.....

Mom grew up in Deer Park (and was where my sister and I lived before we moved away) in the same house that my Mom's sister still lives.
Dad grew up in Huntington Station
Dad's oldest living sister lives in Nesconset (last we knew - there was a falling out since grandma died more than a decade ago and nobody really even talks to her anymore, by her choice)
Dad's youngest sister lives in Dix Hills
I'm fairly familiar with Long Island from NY 110 to SmithHaven Mall (where NY 25 and NY 347 cross). Not as familiar with the northern side of the Island as I am with the southern side.
I was a little further east. Grew up in wading river, near riverhead, from ages 2 to 18. Parents sold the house and relocated back to Iowa shortly after I graduated. Small world, I've literally been to every town (and mall) you mentioned.
I've heard of Wading River, but yeah, not really familiar with the Riverhead area. Only been out that way once. When I was a sophomore in high school my sister and I spent the summer visiting family on Long Island. That summer we went to that sweet water park out in Riverhead, and for the life of me I can't remember what it was called - then again it was more than 20 years ago.
