ISU coming up bricks while UNI couldn't miss from NBA range. A number of phantom fouls in that second half. ISU's first game with Burton and with no Naz. The fact it came down to a last second shot should actually encourage all of us. UNI is a good team and a lot of teams in the country would lose (by a much larger margin) with that shooting performance. I would have preferred more emphasis on getting in the paint as UNI had zero answer instead of shooting some of those 3's. That's really my only complaint. @ Cincinnati will be tough.

Accurate assessment. Doesn't contribute to the meltdown currently in progress though.

UNI won their super bowl shooting the best they will all season while isu shot their worst from the 3 line and we still only lost by 2 on a tripping niang turnover.

Statistically this is a bad loss. UNI will only make NCAA tournament if they win the MVC tournament. I don't think it's worth panicking though.

Non conf game against an NCAA team away from Hilton. Certainly not a must win.

Not a bad loss if they learn from it. If they pass it off as an outstanding shooting night from UNI and think they don't need to adjust, then it will be a bad loss.

I just wish UNI would have shot their normal 3-point percentage. And ISU theirs.

UNI is a mediocre team that got hammered recently by New Mexico. This isn't a good loss. The overlooked kids from Iowa got their revenge. And now that it's over, we can move on.

We lost to a mid major. Sure, they couldn't miss, but we blew this game. This is not a good loss.

Right. No loss is "good". There were a lot of missed opportunities. But nothing tells me this is a bad team and wont compete for a conference title. Every single team in division 1 basketball will lose to a team they "should" beat. Quite a few already have (just look at Duke and Kentucky earlier today).

UNI has already beaten #1 North Carolina and now us. They have it going again this year. Last year they lost in the 3rd round to Louisville in the NCAA tourny.

This is exactly how I look at the game (also Monte clearly got hurt there at the end and played one of the worst games in his career) so I am actually not at all upset by this loss. I know Monte is BigGame, but he was clearly hurt at the end, I would of let Georges get the last shot.

Good effort team. Hopefully now finals are over these kids will get things cleared up. Congrats to Nader on graduating and congrats to Burton on starting his career here (he will obviously get better, McKay was rusty to begin with as well IIRC).
