I would love that. Don't know how it went south for Mac down there, but recruiting the suburban Metroplex has to be like shooting fish in a barrel. And don't they have another pay-for-play in Iowa City in 2017?

It went south in large part to their AD...a total idiot. UNT can not out recruit the large Texas schools and also has to contend with OU, OSU, Tulsa, KU, KSU, ISU, etc etc etc invading the metro area. Would you rather play for UNT in a small stadium (albeit brand new) that sits mostly empty on game days, or would you rather play for a team like Tulsa or even ISU where the fans show up, you're loved around campus, have top notch facilities, etc....

La Tech, Memphis, Tulsa, LA-Monroe, UTSA, Texas St, UTEP, etc...those are all teams that come into the metro area to recruit as well. Almost all of those have better programs.

I was thinking this a few days back. What a strange twist that would be. You could probably guarantee we'd suffer minimal attrition from the HC change, and the recruits we had lined up would likely stay committed.

Honestly, I'd be way in favor of this. That's just not a reality, but if it did happen, I'd welcome it for sure.

This is such a bad idea. The team desperately needs a fresh start. Taking the HC and keeping him on staff, but not in charge, could easily divide the locker room.

Coach Rhoads' time at ISU is nearly up. There is plenty of speculation about who the new coach will be, and what should be the direction of the program. But what about CPR's future? With all the turnover in the coaching ranks this year, he ought to be able to land a new gig somewhere, right? Or is it time to maybe turn over a new leaf?
