Coach Rhoads' time at ISU is nearly up. There is plenty of speculation about who the new coach will be, and what should be the direction of the program. But what about CPR's future? With all the turnover in the coaching ranks this year, he ought to be able to land a new gig somewhere, right? Or is it time to maybe turn over a new leaf?

DC job at another school. After a few years, probably decision time for him whether he wants to attempt HC'ing again. This assuming his time spent at DC is met with noticeable success, as well.

CPR will probably go to a bank and deposit his $4.5 million check. Then make some wise investments and kick back a bit and weigh his options without having to worry about finances.

Paul Rhoads will be a sought after defensive coach. Even though it didn't work out for him here, he does know how to coach. I seriously wouldn't be surprised to see him being a head coach within the next 5 to 7 years.

CPR was a great D Coordinator at Pitt, which is how he got the HC job at ISU in the first place. He will land another P5 DC job somewhere if he wants it

He'll cry in a pit of money and then go get a new job where he will only make hundreds of thousands of dollars.

DC at LSU with Herman, I'd become an LSU fan.

I think a lot of factors come into play. How old are his kids? I think a big school like Texas or florida will scoop him up for the defensive coordinator job.

$4.5 million buys you A LOT of cocaine. I think he could really get something going in central America.

If he wants it, I'd guess he could get the DC job at Florida Atlantic next year on Charlie Partridge's staff. Partridge was a defensive position coach at Pitt for 5 seasons while Rhoads was DC there. He is also a Drake and ISU alum. And next year is probably make-or-break for him at FAU so Rhoads would be the equivalent of the Mangino hire for him in an attempt to save his job.

You don't go from DC at Pitt, Auburn to HC at ISU to DC at FAU. He can do much better.

If he gets another chance to be a HC he'll have a lot of success. He made mistakes here and I think he learned from them.
