Excited for next year

I see your point, but if Ayeni goes I don't see Warren sticking around. Lanning and Lazard are ISU guys though.
I agree. Warren leaving worries me if we change coaches but it's time for the change, so...

I agree, we could have a fun year next year.

But Rhoads has to be gone to make that happen.

I look at this game as a sign from God that we are to get a new head coach. Paul needed this game. He had this game won. He found a way to lose this game. And therefore I have lost my patience and giving him the benefit of the doubt.

That miraculous finish by K-State is a sign from God that CPR should not be our coach next year. And who are we to argue with God????

Did you see what God just did to us man!?

I am at the point that I am more worried about players leaving if CPR stays. That was coaching ineptitude IMO. And that chart BS means that CPR has been consulting the wrong freaking chart.

CPR......did you notice how Snyder centered the ball in the middle of the field for his FG kicker????

I haven't calculated it out, but ISU started that drive with 1:31 on the clock and KSU had 1 timeout. If ISU knelt on the ball 3 times, they may have still had to punt. KSU already had a KO return for a TD and their return man was dangerous. All ISU had to do was get 1 1st down and the game was done.

You kick it out of bounds. They were not going to get the first down running.

The team is showing promise, just can't come away with the W's. I know people want to blame this loss on Rhoads, but it's hard to coach your players to fumble 3 times in 4 plays. Crap luck.

On the coaching front - I'm not a Rhoads sympathizer, but I think ISU would be worse off next year with a regime change. Too many coaching openings to get a new stud coach, and the offense seems to be playing better the last few weeks with whatever system they put in place.

I'm sure this post will degenerate into the typical coach bashing. Let me get you started.

you're insane. I'm done with ISU football until there is a new coach.

Do you understand how the game of "football" works???? Rhoads could have knee'd the damn ball and been fine. He is such a ******* and so is anyone giving rhoads any sympathy or leeway here. Such a pathetic statement

Great news. I am a Nigerian prince of great wealth. I just need your account number, SSN, and billing address and I will share it with you.

JFC, this **** after 7 years...good luck to you.

The guy can't win, plain and simple. This is playing out similar to Macs last couple of years. Getting oh so close and coaching yourself into a loss the last few minutes. I agree that I don't think we light the world on fire next year with a new coach, but what's the point of keeping this staff. They have proven time and time again they can't win. Yeah, they pull something out of their ***** here and there, but for the most part, losing is what they do best. Might as well move on now, build for the future instead of pounding our heads against he wall hoping this staff will finally figure out how to win a game. The trend says we are no better next year.

As Wayne said"are you mental?".

This is a perfect time to move on without CPR. I don't care to watch the ineptitude any more. I think if you can hire a coach now, you have time to win over the players and get most of them to stay. Let's face it, as much as I hate the losing, the players have to be way more sick of it. The sad part is that this team does have enough talent to be going bowling this year.

I hear you. I thought the same thing. Rhoads was keeping the ball in ISU's hands so we controlled our own destiny. Get a 1st down and get the win. Kneeling on the ball could have left a little bit of time on the clock, setting up the potential for a punt return TD. But as Wesleybot pointed out, ISU could have punted it out of bounds.

Good well thought out counter-argument. I can't find fault in anything you said. I guess I'm still jaded with taking "the next big step" with Chizik.
