With about 2/3 of the posts from ISU fans....
Regardless, I really don't care either way. I've already stated in this thread I don't think Iowa is a top 10 team, that they face any form of a tough remaining schedule, or that they will end the regular season undefeated. But when I see some of the stupidity thrown out in this thread, hey, its a fun way to kill some time.
Examples of stupidity:
"Iowa has had a cupcake schedule" - even though its been pointed out that they have a high SOS than half the ranked currently ranked teams.
"ISU would be X with Iowa's schedule" - how anyone could feel confident saying ISU would win any game after multiple recent FBS loses and 2-3 win seasons, I will never understand.
And my personal favorite to date:
"they barely beat Duke and Ball State, programs that would be comparable to ISU" - obviously oblivious that Duke is currently 6-2, Unranked, and has recently been a solid program at best.

Oops, FIFA. Sorry Pittsburgh dropped out of the rankings this week too. Your intellectual knowledge is slowly losing ground.

You are the one that kept bringing up Duke, as if they were the next annointed one. Actually, if you would have paid attention, since I mentioned it several times, the whole point of my posts were that ISU would be able to play with teams like Duke, Pittsburgh, and anyone else on Iowa's schedule. Never once did I say it would be an automatic lock for ISU to win the games, just that they would be competitive. Then you started sqauking about how big of a powerhouse Duke was. Which I just laughed at. And so did Miami. And so did the voters of the AP Top 25.
I reference the fact I though NW was average, and pointed to their games against Duke and Ball St. as evidence. Yes, they did beat Stanford, but even that win isn't looking so hot at this point of the season.
I'll let you in on a little tip. Just because a team is ranked in the Top 25, does not make them one of the Top 25 teams in the nation. Same can be said for the Top 10.
So, keep posting videos to back your stories up, and I'll keep adding facts to shoot them down. Again, and again, and again....
Apparently you are unaware that the Peach Bowl is one of the new BCS-level bowls called the New Year's Six. The only "crappy" thing about it was the reference to it not adding to Iowa's tally of vaunted January bowl games such as the mighty TaxSlayer Bowl from a year ago. But based on your response maybe Iowa fans really do take this January thing too seriously...
Do these represent the number of unranked teams iowa has played?
It is amazing that Iowa has 0 currently ranked teams on their entire 12 game schedule. Iowa State has 6. So Iowa can go 12-0 without beating a currently ranked team abd the best ISU could have done without beating a curre tly ranked team is 6-6. Kudos to what Iowa has done undefeated is no easy task and winning all the winnable games is a feat that deserves respect. But really as of right now Memphis has more quality wins and deserves a higher ranking than Iowa. My 2 cents.
Cool I will do one for quality wins:

You just beat Maryland. MARYLAND!
Your post history shows you are not an ISU fan, stop the charade
Wins.
When you barely play a top 50 schedule it should be easy to rack up W's
1) You gave a prediction of ISU's record with Iowa's schedule. You felt comfortable enough to give a win total of 6 or 7. Here is your exact post on it:
"ISU would currently be 4-3 with Iowa's schedule and would finish either 6-6 or 7-5."
That post doesn't exactly scream uncertainty to me.
2) Beating a Top 10 team that is in the playoff discussion isn't a big win for NW now? Yikes, this win over a 3-5 Texas team is really getting to some people here.
3) Agreed, as I've said multiple times now in this thread.
4) What "facts" have you posted here? I haven't seem much beside "X team could compete with Y team", or "team X would be 7-5 with team Y's schedule". I think you are confusing "facts" with opinions, and well, that seems to be pretty standard on a message board.

Fact, Duke is un-ranked in the AP Top 25. Fact, Pittsburgh is un-ranked in the AP Top 25. Fact, Iowa fans really "Do Care" what the rest of us think. (Drops mic)
Agreed. Especially when you're a top 10 program. It hasn't been as easy as it may have been though with several of our best players out or playing on one leg. We'll go with easyish.
Top 10 team, not top 10 program. To be a top 10 program like ISU basketball you have to ranked more than once every 5 seasons
