Dear America - Iowa Doesn't Care What You Think

They should sell them in twin packs for $39.
That or groupon....

Honestly with the way you can market anymore, to get buts in the seats, neither are bad ideas.....

The thing that gets me about it is you are doing this which is nattical kick to loyal season ticket holders(me included).....

What does it matter ?
Does going to a game make you a better fan? Do you get graded on your fandom levels?
You guys really get hung up on this issue. If you think it matters than I don't know what to say to you.
Yes, you are supporting them, wow, what rock were you hatch under???

Name a team this year that will make it after losing their title game?

Again, another stupid question since we have no idea how many unbeatens there will be. If Baylor, TCU, Clemson, LSU, and OSU/MSU all lose one game, its possible OSU/MSU could lose the title game and still make it. TCU/Baylor could lose a game and still make it. LSU could lose to Floriday in the SEC title game and still make it (if they go undefeated in the regular season).

I'm not diminishing Iowa's record, only saying they have a 0.001% chance of making the playoff if they lose in the Big 10 title game. Other teams (like OSU or LSU) have a much, much better chance of losing and still making it.

You can only support them by going to a game?

Once again I do not get why this bothers anyone here. Does going to an isu game make you more of a fan than someone who watches them at a bar? Are you only allowed to donate money if you are at a game?

Money isn't slowing down for Iowa.

Why would you donate money which allows you to get tickets at Kinnick and then not go to the game? Is Kinnick getting that bad or why aren't people going out there to watch an undefeated team play a conference foe?

A lot of things may or may not happen. Putting yourself in a position that any of this matters is all you can do.

That.001% is 1000x higher than all but a few teams have. The fact that Iowa is there is enjoyable and upsets more than a few here.

Absolutely...... College football is driven off TV market, which your individual donation to that means very little, royalties of clothing and logo items, donations, and game attendance and concessions. When you support the team through all avenues you are showing more support. Do I blame people for not doing all avenues? No, I am just pointing out that with 8,500 ticket remaining there are a lot of people that could fill those seats and show more support for an undefeated team.

While you are at the bar I will be supporting my team in Ames, for better or worse I am sticking with this 2-5 team.....

If you have the money why not?

As I mentioned I don't care if they sell out or not. I am not judged by an attendance number.

The program is doing well. They have built multimillion facilities as needed. The team is top 10. The program is getting positive attention and is getting recruits attention. This is what matters, not the fact that a few thousand seats on Halloween are going unsold.

But IMO.... Could be doing better.....

Congratulations on going to the game. Your investment is paying off with a great season.

Think how much better you could recruit if fans showed up to all the games instead of just selling out when big brother is in town. It was a huge selling point when fans showed up in that sell out streak Iowa had

Apparently Iowa fans don't even care as well as they can't even sell out their stadium to watch their undefeated 7-0 team.

They seem to be doing something right huh.

That's too bad, bitterness is poor trait to hang on to.
your snide, idiotic and don't get the true definition of loyalty at all.... Now F-off and go back to ur tavern for now until you lose one of the last 4 games than no more talk of Playoffs.....

Usually if you're doing something right fans come support them on the field. Still too many people upset about KF and last year is probably the reason ticket sales are the way they are this year. That's what happens when kids don't want to come play in front of a half empty stadium against horrible competition
