Dear America - Iowa Doesn't Care What You Think

UNC has handle Pitt at Pitt and completely dominated Illinois in Chapel Hill. I don't think it's a stretch, that even with one loss at the beginning of the season to a rival from the SEC, North Carolina is clearly a better team than Iowa.

Pitt.....bahahaha. Now we'll have to listen to how good UNC really is. To defend how good Pitt is. To defend how good Iowa is. The ship is going down fast, hawk fans.

Why arnt the fans showing up to support this team. They have showed up to support teams that were a lot worse than this one. They need to enjoy this season, they don't happen often. Yet they would rather rip on ISU for having a bad football program and having cheap tickets.

Surely you realize that's the point right? I'm not trash talking the Iowa football team, I'm trash talking the pathetic fanbase.

An average program who's at 7-0 who will be nowhere near a sellout. A god awful schedule is an excuse when the team is average, but at 7-0 they should sellout a game against Valley.

New last night said they still have 8,200 tickets for sale for whoever they play next, Maryland maybe?

A bunch of those will be gobbled up before kickoff and even if they aren't there'll still be more fans at Historic Kinnick on Saturday than at every Big 12 game happening this week.

IMO, from the Iowa fans I know, they realize that this isn't a "Great" Iowa team. They are benefitting greatly from and pretty lame schedule and that is showing in home ticket sales. I personally think things are right on par considering the competition they are playing. They are not very attractive games.

Along with the free Papa John's pizza?

I do know a group of about 15 tavern hoks taking a party bus from Des Moines to Iowa City. 8,000 tickets left and not one of these fans are thinking about actually going into the stadium. Trash.
