Popping in to be random:

There can be a positive to being on FB first thing in the morning. A friend posted that she had 2 Taylor Swift tickets for sale. Got two lower levels for face value. Woo hoo!

If you want more potty talk, I am in the middle of Adventures in Pottytraining with #4. Which means you are at the whim of a 2yr old when you hear the words "I gotta go potty!" This morning was after preschool dropoff. I had stopped to get gas before going home. We were both in pj's (okay, mine can pass as clothes) in Casey's this morning. And I will say after potty training three other girls, she has the worst aim I have ever seen in a girl.

Parts of Homecoming week I don't like. Today was Twin Day and everyone was paired up already so my oldest had no one to "twin" with. Luckily she is easy-going. If anyone asked, she was going to point to a random person and say that was her fraternal twin.

New washer and dryer coming Friday, I have 2 days to clean out my laundry room (the room that get dumped in and is always a mess).

Birds: Worst aim of a girl....yeah, you get no sympathy from me, hon...I'm headed to lowe's to replace 4 year old toilet seats that have just been destroyed in the last couple years from 2 potty training boys.

As part of our ongoing RT wedding rants and associated issues, from my city of Golden Valley:

Which is worse?

1. Getting billed $75 for the wedding meal from a bride after you couldn't make the wedding

or

2. Getting the bill and than being a total media ***** and going to the press with it?

Kinda guessing they are not friends anymore. I think they should remain friends since they both appear to be horrible petty people with much in common.

:skeptical:
i guess I see #2 as worse. I understand why the bride and groom are ticked and I think it would have been better for the second person to explain why she skipped before going to Facebook (I'm assuming she didn't). Granted, if I was going to try what couple 1 did, I would have first asked why they couldn't make it, and if the reason was anything other than "oh, I just decided I didn't want to go anymore" I wouldn't send them a bill.

My boys thought they could pee like daddy, who basically leaned on the reservoir and let fly over the bowl. Problem was, they were barely tall enough to sling it all the way over the rim, let alone rest their hands on the reservoir. I convinced them that taking hold & aiming was in their best interests by providing them with a can of powdered comet and a couple of old toothbrushes. The better their aim, the less scrubbing... ;)

I went to my daughter's school skating party last night. I'd say maybe 10% of the kids there looked like they had been on skates before. My memory may be off, but I seem to remember damn near every kid being able to skate when I was growing up. I mean, I was a train-wreck on skates, but all of my friends being significantly better.

Not only did we go to the roller rink (with a young Pants probably stalking me there) we also did roller skating in gym class in middle school. We used to go to the roller rink for youth group activities, birthday parties, etc. I think the closest one here is in Boone or Ogden or somewhere.

My claim to fame was finally getting up the nerve to ask this one girl that I liked to couple skate, wiping out horribly and yanking her rather violently to the ground with me.

Needless to say, things didn't work out between us.

Some of us went to rinks in my age group. Most of us had these:

I really hoped your story was going to end with, "and now we've been married for x years"

I grew up roller skating in my neighbors basement, and then roller blading up and down the street. There were two rinks in waterloo/cedar falls, both are closed now. Loved having roller skating parties as a kid. I actually went roller skating a few years ago for my birthday, and damn...that's a workout now that I'm old.

My Charlotte/Daytona Beach project got pushed to January. Sad day... but instead I am going to Raleigh next week. I think I'll have a good time with 3 major universities being in the area.

Also, since I am required by you guys to tell you my wins and losses with women now. Last night I got blown off by my roommates who were too drunk from Happy Hour to join me at our trivia night. I joined a group of random people instead and have a date with the girl that was sitting next to me. Tomorrow!

You're better off with random people. Proven fact.

I ran chicken nuggets home over lunch and was greeted with "mom, hug" awwwww.

Other than that, just busy getting ready for a workshop event at work. I am prepping menus and security badges.

We used to roller skate in the basement, too. And at recess in elementary school. Wow, we used to roller skate a lot. :)

My 10yrold nephew went skating earlier this spring and re-broke his arm (had broken both wrists at recess the last week of school). Required surgery and spent the summer in a cast.

I always feel bad when I see a school-aged kid in a cast over summer vacation. An absolute bummer of a summer.

What I did come on here for was to let DirecTV subscribers know...free Showtime weekend this coming weekend.

Man, a lot of people seem extremely confident that we'll destroy KU this weekend. Am I missing something? Didn't they embarrass us last year and have the same record we do over the past couple of years?

KU is epically awful, and as much as the bottom may or mays not drop out, we're not as bad as last year. Have you watched Kansas actually "play"? I put quotations around that because I question if you can even call what they do playing football.

I'm just not that confident after last year's loss. They were awful last year as well and ended up spanking us for their only Big12 win last year.
