Yeah, I thought of the other term after I posted that. Unfortunately today about the only place you find a cobbler is on a restaurant menu. I think there might be one left in the whole of the Twin Cities.
You're right. However, would Boxster's rhubarb crisps count as a cobbler?

I also had an ex that sold women's shoes. Then she went to art school.

I became an industrial engineer. True story, I went from doing road construction summer and fall, to working in the shoe department of Younker's in Ames. Talk about doing a job you have no interest in whatsoever.

I know what you mean. Road construction is boring.

Dress for rain and get laughed at. Win-win.

oh I don't mind the rain, it's that they'll cancel the game.

One more uninteresting factoid about said recruit. His dad is from the Caribbean. Maybe GTO can get involved. That would certainly make everything more interesting.

Have you ever thought about getting a handicapped placard for that condition?

I should try. Is pigeon toe where you walk and your toes point in? What's the opposite of that? And just with one foot? You think they give out placards for that?

Can you wear a sock on your left foot? As a man I know that I rarely notice women's footwear.

ha, not quite the look I'm going for. I did try little pantyhose type socks today but I took them off. Them being slippery makes it worse - instead of foot sticking to shoe and keeping it in place more, they slide forward even more and pop out of the heel easier. If it were a shoe you didn't see the top of my foot, yes, I would do that. Though it doesn't seem to be an issue with shoes that 'contain' my foot.

I think it's always been a thing. I tend to walk out of or pop the heel of my left foot when walking in non-containing shoes. When I got measured for workout shoes they're like hey your left foot is a size smaller than your right. I'm like oh, so that's why I walk out of that shoe.

But now the problem is I have two pairs of just classic heels I'm trying out. I've needed just a nice pair of businessy type black heels forever. I usually give up and return the ones I try, but I'm determined this time because I need close toed heeled dress shoes. The first pair are a little taller heel, which I like, but the right foot is fairly tight. I walk out of the left one. I think once broken in, the right shoe would be fine.

Second pair is lower heel, right foot is comfy, and at home I thought the left was good. Today I'm wearing them for the first time and I walk out of the left. So now I'm like why bother going with the lower heel that I like less if I'm still going to have the same problem. Now to see if blow drying the right shoe will stretch it enough and adding an insole to the left makes it tighter on the other pair.

Fly to Italy and have custom made shoes tailored to your feet.

or

Buy two pairs and find someone who has a right foot smaller than her left to share with.

Edit: Oh, hell, Velo already covered this. :embarrassed:

Are you a flamingo? Standing on one leg all the time could cause this issue.

My sister's a podiatrist so I know some stuff. Isn't that how genetics works?
