I've been ignoring these threads but I'm seeing a trend develop that doesn't make sense. I've seen this opinion stated over and over again but the only Mac recruit that has gotten into trouble was Mike Tayler. In fact, Mac kicked him off the team because he couldn't keep his nose clean. So Mac has one problem player and all of a sudden his teams are undisciplined?
Look at the way Cyfan13 has been treated, we know her connections and yet we she is still second guessed.

Which is exactly what's been going on here lately. However, a few people have actually gone to Jeremy, revealed their sources and he or the moderators have been able to "vouch" for them. Or one or two others have not only publicly revealed who they are - but have some sort of track record of being right and not burning players/coaches at the stake.

There are reasons for such. I could list them again, but that dead horse has been beaten and I'm really not interested in bringing it up again at this point.
Well, Cyclonesince84 accused Morgan's players of being thugs, and I never saw any "thug" behavior from his players. Maybe his definition of a thug is being a black kid from the inner city, I don't know. I never said McD's teams are undisciplined.
When I think of thug ball (I think that is what he called it), I don't think of "thug" behavior, but guys who are out there only playing for themselves and not for the team. When I hear Thug ball I think New York Knicks, not much teamwork going on.
I guess that came out wrong when saying thug ball. I guess the meaning behind that word may not be entirely their character, but more to the fact that those teams were out there playing street ball with no actual system behind it. And as for those guys staying out of trouble, that is true, but I wouldn't say they were better than LE's/Floyd days. Didn't care they argued with the refs, its was the fact that coach morgan had no control of most of the team, and especially Curtis (who in my eyes was an amazing player, just couldn't handle authority) that was my background on the thug comment. Sorry for using wrong word, just figured most people understood what I meant.
More of the reason I used that particular word was, did you ever see an actual offensive play when they came out of a huddle. NO!! Because Wayne was never meant to be a head coach!! The only play he would have was tell Will or Curt to take it to the hole. That did work for most of his years, but it wore off with time.

We have a saying in my country - the coyote of the desert likes to eat the heart of the young and the blood drips down to his children for breakfast, lunch and dinner and only the ribs will be broken.
I saw quite a bit of play calling on both offense and defense. Defensively we were changing all of the time which there is some coaching to that.
I think alot of the time uptempo, run and gun, basketball is viewed as Street Ball and it takes some time to get use to it and see the offensive plays that are actually being run.
NC plays like this and I don't think anyone would say Deputy Dog doesn't have an offense, it's just a secondary break most of the time.
