Looks like the field wall is being painted. I wonder if they have ever considered brick or stone along the field wall.
What is your obsession with brick? Its never going to happen at Jack Trice. Never.
Yea, they added more supports in the area where they removed the aluminum stands, would expect to see it covered back up again soon. Also, brick would contrast way too much with the rest of the stadium.
looks better than soviet-era concrete buildings... should I continue?
First of all, concrete is an awesome building material. Take a look through this site of some of the most kick-$$$ contemporary homes and buildings out there and you won't find much brick.
Second, the structure is concrete. There's no going back now regardless of how it looks and what it's next to. It's not really a pick-n-pull project. You don't take a concrete structure that size, then say "Oh, how about some brick here?" and "We could do vinyl siding over there." I'm sure brick would've fit into the budget. I'm glad the architects and designers opted to not use it.
I just wish Athletics would find a line item to keep the paint fresher where they use paint, and replace bleachers on a more regular basis to keep the colors sharp.
Those homes are pretty cool. I wonder if there is a unique material (not brick) that could be put along the field wall to make it unique.
Do what Baylor does and hang tarps/banners over it to give a faux brick look. The cameras don't know the difference.

Oh, I don't know, looks classy, doesn't age as quickly, doesn't require paint, is used on many campus buildings (including the nearby alumni center), looks better than soviet-era concrete buildings... should I continue?
In your opinion. Remember that. And be sure to remind us every single chance you get.
