A lot of that is McDermott. He recruited athletic Big 12 players to Iowa State which couldn't relate to Mac. Its not TJ's fault that McDermott couldn't get wins with Wesley Johnson, Craig Brackins and Rahshon Clark on one roster.
We should probably bookmark this thread to remind people just how hard of a decision this probably was. Personnel decisions are never easy.
Because the Head Coach sucked despite Otzelberger getting decent players for them.
So Otzelberger is the man responsible for Fred winning in Fred's first 3 years at ISU.......and Mann and Matt A are responsible for Fred winning these past 2 years. The Assistant gets all the credit or the blame for victories or the lack of victories???
Because the poll is unclear in what it is asking. I voted for TJ because I thought it was a poll of who I thought would get the job, not who I think should get the job.

funny how the consensus when JSB was saying this in late March and Apri was "no way would TJ ever be our coach regardless if Fred leaves.."

Kind of a depressing list.:sad: If none of the above was an option I would go for that and have Matt player coach since Georges described him as the next Hoiberg. Only sort of Guess I need to start following volleyball more closely.
If this were a beauty contest this would be like comparing a "4" to a couple "3's"
I think it's fairly likely that these types are in the mix but not publicly. Don't want to tarnish their reputation with their current school.
I think this poll is helping all the TJ haters realize what many already have: There aren't any other great options. And if you just attribute that to us not going after the right people, please tell us who it is that we should be going after, so we can point and laugh at you.
I voted for TJ, though I probably would have voted for Mystery Candidate had that been an option.
