My first thought on seeing the middle picture of the screen behind the goal post is that they need pictures of some big bouncy hooters to flash on the screen every time the opposing team attempts a field goal.

BTW I went and looked at kstates field. I still much prefer trice and our updates. Their stadium looks tiny on the one side due to just the lower bowl.

Also prefer how trice towers above the ground while theirs sits deep down in the hole.

It will be a very nice stadium for them. I just thought I would comment based on what I have seen.

Iowa State will be back on par with K-State once they make the same suite and club revenue. Probably won't see that upgrade until the football team improves.

Nope, not talking about revenue. Talking about stadium. Kstates appears to have sacrificed some of their stadium appearance for that big building.

I realize their attendance is smaller than isu's but they missed the boat there.

The joke is that they parked a cruise ship next to their stadium. Glad we could incorporate this into conversation.

That being said, I actually tend to agree with you design-wise. Their stadium would look better if there was another 20ish rows in front of their suite tower. The proportions are just off at their current height. Most of their fans don't believe they can consistently fill more than 55k seats though, or get a large enough revenue increase from anything more than 55k.

The first seats are being installed in the aluminum sections in the SW corner of the SEZ.

Does anyone know if the aluminum seating will cover the old pumping controls on the SE hill of the SEZ? The poured concrete wall there may be so no one can get into that area after the seating is installed.

Looks like they're red. I hope at least the center section on the bottom is Gold. Or even the center sections of the corners. Not to fond of the idea of all red everywhere.

Somebody posted earlier that yes, the intent is for the seating to cover the pump station. The concrete walls will be access an tunnel.

It looked to me like the floor of the new seating sections is slightly elevated above the existing concrete sections (along the "seam" in the upper level seats). If you look at where the upper decks join in the SW corner, there is a little wall along the end of the old bleachers, and the corners of the new steps appear to be even with the top of that wall. Maybe that's to try and improve sightlines to the far end of the field - the extra height would make it easier to see over people.

I have been patiently waiting for someone to make a comment about "What are they going to do with the crane?" but nothing yet on 72 pages. I am so let down.

First, 72 pages? You are doing it wrong.

As far as the crane goes I think somebody is going to take it apart and mail it piece by piece to their parents in Ottumwa.
