Whoever drafts DGB in the 3rd round or later will get a steal from a talent perspective. First class d-bag but an incredible football player. 1st round talent, 4th round character.
Was it Scherff that recommitted from ISU before going to Iowa? I can't remember.

I doubt he's going to be there in the 3rd round. I'll be shocked if we don't hear his name called in the first half of the 2nd round. His measurables are off the chart. Now that we're out of the 1st round, the spotlight is lessened, so to speak, when it comes to taking guys with character concerns. Someone will grab him pretty quickly, I think.
Yeah I don't see DGB being there in the 3rd. Actually kind of hope the Chiefs get him. Drafting two troubles players is risky but the payoff could be huge. Bowe 2.0 but Way Cheaper
It's cool I got a Trent Richardson jersey for christmas a few years ago. He was traded within 6 months.
Even in the 2nd round he's a steal. Gonna have to watch his *** but he will be good on the field I think.

Agree. I like watching Gruden to a point. When he goes off on some guy as not being any good, I remind myself that he had Johnny Football as #1 on his board last year.
Well, my Steelers got a pretty good steal with Bud Dupree falling to them. Definitely happy about that. They could have had Shane Ray, but the Steelers brass is pretty opposed to drafting guys with big character issues, particularly early.
Edge rusher was a big need and they got one of the best players available at 22 with Dupree.
Second round it will be interesting to see what the CB crop looks like when they pick. Another need.

La'el Collins - LSU OT Could have easily been a top 15 pick without this last second disaster.
Someone's going to take a shot in the 4th or 5th I think. Worst case scenario, he goes to prison and never plays. Best case, he's cleared of any involvement and has a pro-bowl caliber career at a dirt cheap price.
I'd be ok with my team, the Steelers, taking a flyer on him.

I think the fact that his agents were trying so hard to get him into the supplemental draft says a lot about the situation. To me, it sounds like they have every indication that he's going to be cleared of any wrongdoing, and would rather he wait til the supplemental draft, where he'd have a chance to be compensated at a higher rate than if he's taken in the 5-6th round, now. If he's a 2nd round pick in the supplemental draft, he'll be paid like a 2nd rounder, which is better than what he's likely to get if he goes this weekend.
I think the request for him to be in the supplemental draft was denied. Heard that somewhere. Maybe ESPN or on a morning sports radio show.

Yeah, it was denied. I think the fact that they requested it at all is what gives us a clue to what's going on. If he had some wrongdoing in this, at least that the agents are aware of, they wouldn't have asked for the supplemental draft. Supplemental draft allows his name to be cleared, and he might climb back up onto some draft boards. That won't happen now, because it was denied, but I think that's what they were going for.
Biggest reach in the top ten. Don't understand taking a guy at #5 that is projected to be a guard. Left tackle, maybe.

I wonder what the price is to trade up? Assuming a team offers their own 2nd round pick, as well? What else would they have to offer?
Broncos will try to trade up again considering they have a bunch of picks still and don't have many roster spots available.
I was expecting them to trade up last night but didn't think they'd take Ray. Ware is going to retire soon so I can see Ray being his replacement.
