My definition of constructive dialogue would be a combination of history and future aspirations put together. Seems like one side is all about the past (and how bad ISU was in the 90s) while one is only about firing Rhoads because he has no future. Personally, I want to see the 102-year conference championship drought come to end. A goal like that isn't done over night, and requires a very long-term vision. How (despite our past) can ISU make a goal to reach that in 5 years, 10 years, 15 years, 20 years, etc.? I'll give Jamie credit for his initial vision when he got here, but I'm curious how he feels Paul Rhoads fits into this vision, or if he has any aspirations of doing better than 8-4 in a good season as a long-term goal.
