Bowl or Bust

My definition of constructive dialogue would be a combination of history and future aspirations put together. Seems like one side is all about the past (and how bad ISU was in the 90s) while one is only about firing Rhoads because he has no future. Personally, I want to see the 102-year conference championship drought come to end. A goal like that isn't done over night, and requires a very long-term vision. How (despite our past) can ISU make a goal to reach that in 5 years, 10 years, 15 years, 20 years, etc.? I'll give Jamie credit for his initial vision when he got here, but I'm curious how he feels Paul Rhoads fits into this vision, or if he has any aspirations of doing better than 8-4 in a good season as a long-term goal.

Not a snowballs chance when we are significantly under sized at ALL positions

Your opinion.....NOT a fact.

What are YOU doing to help Iowa State to reach the aspirations of doing better than 8-4 in a good season?

That last post was my best attempt at leveling with you, and you take one phrase out of the whole thing. Good grief dude. This is a Power 5-conference football program with a multi-million dollar budget, along with millions of additional dollars in potential exposure for a big-time university on the line, not youth little league.

I'm trying to help Iowa State change their goals and end their complacency. Its probably a losing battle tho. There is little accountability in this athletic department for coaches hired by Pollard.

Actually you are really doing NOTHING but complaining and ******** that we are not winning. ******** is NOT helping.

We could have 200,000 people like you and what would we have? A bunch of ******** complaining people that do not do anything but *****. And somehow think that they are helping our program with their negativity and constant criticism. The BEST thing you could do to help our football program would be to simply go away.

200,000 donors and people buying tickets, regardless of their opinions on the football program, would be quite the accomplishment for the program.

You are not a donor. You do not buy tickets for football games at Jack Trice. You have said that you attend some games at our Texas opponents.

That is as helpful as Hawkeye fans buying a ticket for the Iowa-Iowa State game at Kinnick.

Actually he has said he's a donor.

Not if Stormin doesn't remember your donor status.

Please link your post claiming your donor status in the Cyclone Club. Donations to ISU Foundation and the Alumni Association are not contributions to our Athletic Department.

It was like 2 pages ago in this thread, and he was responding to something you said, try to keep up.

Tell us how you won't buy Iowa State football season tickets anymore or make your Cyclone Club donation............ooops......you don't do that now.

I did both last season, despite living in Kansas and eventually moving to Texas. I've been pretty active role with the Texas Alumni Chapters as well, despite living 2 hours from any of them. Carry on.

Give it a rest Stormin. You know you have no solid argument if you have to resort to accusations about how much or if someone donates. That really has nothing to do with the quality of fan you are and it's a pretty self righteous tactic trying to tell someone that their opinion doesn't matter unless they donate money. If donors were the only ones who matter then a lot of major college football programs would be screwed. Sooner or later the voice of the majority is heard. Stop trying to be the gatekeeper to CycloneFanatic. If people have an opinion it's their right to share it. That's what makes the site fun.
