Oh god, i remember that. Was that the same guy who was playing monopoly or something and took a swan dive out hitting a dumpster?
Yep. Hit the dumpster on the Friley loading dock on his way down. Sad. Some friends of mine actually knew the guy.

Maybe the media should apologize for completely blowing the thing up before all the information got out. I realize the media doesn't work like this, but the whole situation is just PR management right now, has nothing to do with the actual incidents.

Yes. He very likely was a bad neighbor and possibly is a bad person...but the media falsely gave the impression that he was running a crackhouse and then published pictures of him in locked chains as if he was going to life in prison when in actuality charges were dropped.
There has been plenty of unfair judgement of both Jones and White in the whole situation. It's really not that big of a story, neighbor fights happen all the time. Stuff like this happens all the time and we never hear about it, nobody got assaulted or anything.
Exactly, without the bogus arrest, no one ever knows this happened.
Yesterday morning after seeing the first report on the Rag I honestly thought he'd be kicked off the team. Then by mid-morning more facts were out and it was dropped by lunch, but the damage was done. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.
BDJ needs to stay out of trouble and he needs to play and practice as a good teammate...he doesn't need to shoot rainbows out of his butt for the high horse crowed to deem him worthy.
by all accounts he has played and practiced at an excellent level and his teammates have embraced him in that respect.
I'm a supporter of the 1-game suspension, but I've never been a fan of player provided apologies. I would guess that we won't see one since it didn't come out last night or early today - and I'm glad.
The issue here isn't about holding athletes to some impeccable standard of behavior (i.e. blowing rainbows out of one's butt), it's about one of them that apparently can't behave in a basic civil manner towards his neighbors. I've not seen anybody here asking BDJ to be Mr. Rogers.
The reason we are having this whole discussion in the first place is because BDJ isn't staying out of trouble, and it's gotten to the point where the "team" apparently can't control it and law enforcement has had to be involved on multiple occasions. And from the media reports, the issues have not just been confined to one neighbor (although one has chosen to speak publically about it).
That's admirable, but what does BDJ being a good basketball teammate have to do with the issue at hand, which is him being a repeated nuisance to his neighbors?
I don't know if he owes anyone an apology, maybe Fred. He screwed up, spent half a day in jail and had his name plastered all over the internet. The important thing is that he learn something, like he isn't in Vegas anymore, and he can't act like a jerk. That being said, since he is one of Fred's players, I do expect there will be some kind of apology after a while. Right now BDJ is off limits to the press, which is a good thing.
Was that that guy that pressed Fred about suspending BDJ for a noise violation? And followed up with asking him if a player would be suspended for parking in a handicap space?
I don't know the media well enough to recognize voices.

This. The only apology that BDJ owes to anyone is to the coaching staff, his teammates, and his neighbors. I'm sure that has been done privately.
Like I said previously but the "media" is now taking more and more chances because they are irrelevant and no longer break any news. I'm sure next week Channel 13 and the Rag will be doing "Exclusives" on the major epidemic that is sweeping the nation of loud apartments in college towns.
The only apology should be to his coaches and teammates.
