Sutton fired at OSU

The prospect of all this is kinda of amusing...

Self to OSU
Turgeon to KU
? to A&M

Back-to-back years where A&M has a new coach.

It would be sweet if he did, but to do that, OSU would have to make a move before the spring signing period.

One would think that if it happens, it will happen almost immediately after the Jayhawks' season concludes.

A month or two ago, street talk said that T. Boone was interested in Self but even more interested in Bill G (Head coach at Kentucky). Either one is going to take serious cash....

Re: Sutton @ OSU

Sutton out at OSU. They really gave him a shot.

Boone Pickens will probably pay Bill Self, Roy Williams, Bob Knight and Coach K to run the team for 5 million dollars each. They will be alright.

ISU needs a rich oil prince, US oil tycoon and Bill Gates in the National Cyclone Club

Now KU will have an excuss @ the final four. Distracted by all the talk of their coach leaving. You would think they (OSU) would wait until after the championship.

I always kind of had this feeling that OSU might end up paying a high "price" for Boone's money. If OSU gets into revolving coaching scenarios in the major sports because nobody can live up to Boone's expectations, they are headin' for disaster, with gorgeous facilities mind you, but disaster nonetheless...

Corrected it for you.

Scott Drew to A&M
? to Baylor

Corrected it for you....

Doc Sadler to A&M which in my opinion is much more likely
? to Nebraska

With Tom Osborne's ego, he may hire himself and be both the greatest college football and basketball coach ever. Move over John Wooden.

The Final Four is a perfect place to interview coaches without anybody knowing...

I have a hard time believing that Boone...err, the OSU AD would can Sutton's son after 24 months w/o a significant catch on the line.

Which makes this that much more interesting. He wasn't given much time. Started bad, but finished with a few nice wins with a young team.

As Cy Heavy stated - one would think they already have their man all but locked up.

Kind of ironic that the last time KU was in a Final Four their coach had to answer questions about returning to his alma mater...

It wouldn't completely shock me if Self left but I don't think the chances are very good. KU can get pretty close to the money that OSU will offer him so I don't think it will be that. The only question is if the draw of returning home will outweigh leaving one of the top coaching jobs in the country.
