Derrick Willies leaving Iowa

I wonder if Dean knows how fractured the program really is?

Friends with Hawkeye players on Facebook? Weirdo.

I won't be too hard on you hippity since I don't blame you for not watching this Iowa team but they play a ton of young players.

Now Greg Davis? Yes, I think pretty much everyone has seen enough of him. I'll give ISU fans credit when they told all the Iowa fans what the offense would look like when he was hired.

Yep, I don't watch much Iowa football. Just going by what I've heard from Hawk fans complaining that the best two WRs couldn't get on the field. Maybe it's not just an age thing. Maybe they are in the doghouse or they aren't scrappy enough.

Iowa's offense starts 9 junior or seniors. It's shocking that a veteran offense like that is so poor.

Greg Davis is screwing them hard core. He is absolutely terrible.

Their OL was supposed to be a strength and they are bad. If Iowa has a bad OL they are not going to be good offensively no matter who they have

Where is Section110? I would of assumed he would of attributed this to the team being divided in hating their coach.

Maybe they're just not that good.

Impossible. Every newspaper from Des Moines to the eastern part of the state told me pre-season that Iowa was going 12-0 or 11-1. Wait, you're telling me maybe they were overrated? No. That cannot be.

That is pretty crazy, at least Jon Miller was more realistic saying they would go 10-2 with ISU's schedule...

Now now, don't forget to shift some of that blame to the head man as he is the one whom hired GD in the first place...

My biggest shock when they hired Davis was, why would they replace a predictable, conservative OC with a guy who is exactly the same, maybe even more conservative and predictable. Davis's best coaching strategy....have Vince Young or Colt McCoy

Morehouse had some stuff on Twitter that basically said Willies didn't wanna play in a Davis offense (shocker) and didn't wanna play with Rudock (shocker 2.0). Ferentz will do nothing about this because he's a stubborn *******. Now, I realize you can't let the inmates run the asylum, but this is incredibly frustrating. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a mass exodus so the board and the boosters had their hand forced a little more on making some changes.

I understand our bball team is nothing really to write home about, but I'll definitely take this era over the Lickliter experiment 10/10 times.

This is a big hit. Kid was just a RS freshman. Good size, great speed, and showed some good hands. He didn't play because of KF's proven philosphy that it doesn't matter who's good, it matters who's a senior.

I think it's obvious he couldn't grasp the complexities of the GD and KF offense.

Iowa football under KF is in full blown circling the drain mode.
