It's always funny when they think they can win the national championship, and always more funny when they are brought back down to reality that the Big 10 sucks and so do they.
NNDSU has played almost all FBS schools, and ISU got slaughtered by them. UNI sucks this year do they? What about last year? Next week will decide things, but for now it's 2-0 vs. 0-2.
Isu likes to find ways to lose. But I wouldn't be too confident about a win heading into next Saturday iowa88.
I don't think either team or fan base should have a whole lot of confidence going into next week
It's going to be close either way, since it's at Iowas home they will have the advantage (no duh right?)
They are already out of the National Championship. Iowa could now go undefeated and they won't get into the playoff. Not with barely beating UNI and Ball State on your home field.
That won't get you in, especially with Iowa's pathetic schedule, which took an even bigger hit today with Purdue getting smoked by Central Michigan and Northwestern losing to Northern Illinois. Also, turns out Nebraska is complete garbage too.
And I think ISU can win now next week, although I would have felt a lot better about it if Iowa had lost today. Coming back to win that game will at least give them a bit of confidence they wouldn't have otherwise had.
The good news for ISU, both teams we have played this year are superior to what Iowa has faced. Playing better competition hopefully will help us.
Should I just log off until next week or so? I can't see much happening for interesting conversation, as the only posts from Iowa fans so far have been 2-0 0-2. Do the interesting ones show up or are the ones that get excited because they just learned numbers the only ones here

I think ISU will be drained due to the emotions since last week and I think Iowa has some confidence coming back to win today. I look for a close Iowa win and a hard-fought game.
ISU has better athletes at most positions than Ball State does... or UNI for that matter. Not sure if it will matter or not next week, but I do think we will be the best competition Iowa has played this year so far.
Iowa will NOT be the best competition that ISU has faced this year though. KSU is better than Iowa.
I'm just hoping that helps us somehow. We do know the crowd in IC will not be a factor if we get up on them. It was dead silent in Kinnick all day today.
I think Iowa will play their best game of the year next week, but I think we could as well. If we can stop their running game like Ball State did today, we'll win for sure.
not exactly. The Ball St defense was clearly winded...and guys started dropping left and right to catch a blow. ala Michigan State. Every one of them came back in.
I see next week as a toss up. Depends on who shows up. I'd take ISU and the points.
I guess I could see that. Still think ISU will be beat up emotionally and that will be a big factor. Surely Iowa can't look or play any worse than today so only one direction to go, I hope.
Iowa is throwing pretty well. Their run game has not been good but the dlines they have faced have been undersized yet very quick. Iowa doesn't have tgst great TE like in years past either. Iowa LB are not good. Hope mangino uses wimberly and Nealy in passing game a lot cause LBs struggle in coverage. Aside from King iowas secondary is very beatable. It will come down to stopping the run as usual. Ruddock is no Waters.
Yeah, because stopping the clock for Iowa, and having your best CB go out of the game twice in that series is exactly what Ball State was wanting to do.... not.
I thought it was hilarious when Iowa fans were booing Ball State's injuries, as if they were doing it on purpose. How clueless can that fanbase be over in IC? Those injuries killed Ball State's chances at winning the game. Not having Patterson out there for several plays really hurt them.
This post makes no sense. Why would the Ball State guys want to stop the clock for Iowa? It's not like Iowa was using a hurry up offense either.
