Future Non-Con with UCONN?

SMU winning the AAC is a distinct possibility and IMO, not a bad thing. The question for SMU going forward is what happens post-Larry Brown. Cincy won't drop off the map because of Cronin's system, regardless what one thinks of it. Memphis has a 4-star PG and 3 JUCOs coming in. Tulsa could also be around a bubble team (they've got Scottie Wilbekin's little brother coming in).

It's not a pretty conference, but it won't be a 2-bid league anytime in the near future.

And Brimah will be around next year for UConn. If you saw his progress from November till now, you'd understand why you can't overlook the kid. He's only been playing for four years.
I think next year it will be SMU, Cinci and you guys for bids. Tulsa will be playing a tougher schedule than conf USA gave them (by the way, TCU beat them 2x this year). Cinci's system is not going to work with the changes in college basketball, the game is going to be more offensive minded and that does not bode well for a team that does nothing but mugg. SMU will still be good next year, and you have a lot of production to replace in Napier but I think Ollie is a good coach that will be able to do that.
The problem is your conference was gutted by realignment. And television contracts are driven by football and the one you just signed really didn't do you any favors in basketball. Only 63% of your conference games will be televised nationally. 100% of the big12 games will be. The Big East thrived due to the exposure it got on ESPN and the AAC is not going to be getting that exposure.

Recruiting?

2014
UCONN has 5* recruit, Daniel Hamilton
Also, Sam Casell's kid, named ironically enough Sam Cassell jr. who is only a 3*, but the staff love. You'll see why next year. He plays just like his old man.

2015
UCONN already has two 4* recruits for 2015. Word is that one will be bumped up VERY easily to a 5* once the AAU circuit is done.

Ollie doesn't like one and dones. Two and dones, better. 3 and dones, the best. You can't guage by team rankings which go by volume x. quality. Look at position quality.

So, I don't know about you, but having a 5*, a 4*, a 4*, and a mature 3*, plus our freshmen center Brimah, makes the future pretty bright.

And your class is still ranked 40th. Was anything I said untrue

I'll take a guess that you don't know how class rankings are determined. It is a volume x quality. UCONN doesn't need to sign in volume for each class. Ollie signs by position. Carefully. So I guess when you see our 2 5* and one 4* guy out there playing together, along with Brimah, just remember to hug your thinking doll tenderly as you contemplate how we'll have a top 10 team.

Lol it just went from a 5 star and 2 four star guys to two 5 stars and a 4 star. SMU only has one recruit and they are ranked higher than you. Your ranking is 40th, that is what I said, was it untrue? And the two four stars are two years away according to you.

And thus, you proved my point, albeit you did it unwittingly (some would say, ignorantly) about looking at these team recruit rankings.

Because I forgot to mention that UCONN will have this guy on the floor in 2014. Rodney Puvis. Yes. A five star recruit. Along with 5* Daniel Hamilton.

LOL seriously dude, spider to the fly? Your class is ranked 40th for next year. You have ONE five star next year, your class was not in the top 40 last year, was it? So again, has anything I said been untrue? If you want to talk transfers I an sure Iowa State fans can point to much more successful transfers over the last three years, and I wouldn't trade what we will have as far as transfers and recruits next year for your ONE five star and ONE transfer.

Back to the original point of my post which you didn't refute other than your recruiting class, the AAC will not be as good next year as it is this year.
