***Offical NBA Regular Season Thread***

LeBron and Durant were trading baskets like mad right before ISU/KU started. Thunder are looking legit, Ibaka is taking the next step.

The Bulls are currently competing for the 3 seed this year... despite not having an offensive weapon on the team.

They are the Major League movie Indians. Just shows the value of a great coach and having four starters who are defensive standouts (along with an Eastern conference that's two teams deep thanks to NYN and Nets sucking for all time).

Yeah, 2nd fewest points allowed... also 2nd fewest points scored. Only the Pacers are better defensively, and only the Bucks are worse offensively.

Lost in the Super Bowl hysteria was this news, Pacers have signed Andrew Bynum. It's a gamble because all the guy has shown to be is a cancer, but wow talk about a luxury to have another 7 footer on bench when or if Hibbert is in trouble with fouls.

I don't think he's even as good as Hibberts current backup. I understand why they made the move just to keep him from Miami in case he actually does become the guy he was in LA. But the guy in Cleveland this year shouldn't see the floor on this Pacers team. Curious move on his part.

They've had all these great picks and the only one they've really hit on is Kyrie, which was the most obvious no-brainer pick of the bunch. A competent GM would have these guys looking like Golden State or OKC, chock-full of young talent.

Yeah, the final straw had to have been the Bennett pick last summer. I know hindsight is 20/20 and it's not like there was a consensus #1 overall guy, but wow, that pick is an ongoing disaster. Whoever gets that job next has a huge mess on their hands.

How much better would these hypothetical starting line-ups have been (all possible with the picks they had):
-Irving, Klay Thompson, Oladipo, Varejao, Drummond
-Irving, Oladipo, Kawhi Leonard, Faried, Varejao
-Irving, Klay Thompson, Oladipo, Harrison Barnes, Varejao

And it's not all hindsight on this. Thompson, Waiters, and Bennett were all considered reaches. Guys like Barnes and Oladipo would have actually been considered the safe picks.

I'm not upset with the Thompson pick. He has shown he can put in the work and play with the team. The Waiters and Bennet picks are what **** me off. The Cavs needed a SF, and Barnes was the most talented SF on the board. Also, Barnes is a much better player (skills and teammate) than Waiters. Then he drafts Bennet instead of Oladipo? The Cavs already had so many PF, why draft another one?

The post-Lebron era should have gone like this

2011- PG - Kyrie
C - Valanciunas or Thompson
2012 - SF - Harrison Barnes (Biggest miss when they selected Waiters)
2013 - SG/PG - Oladipo or Mclemore

The Waiters pick completely screwed up the team needs. If they had just selected Barnes, there would have been no need for Bennet. They could have picked Oladipo to fill out the SG spot.

Stupid Cavs.

This is some ******* lineup the Lakers have trotted out. With Kobe out and Pau maybe about to be traded, this is going to be a long second half of the season for Tinseltown. Couldn't happen to a more deserving fanbase. Take a break, Laker "fans". We'll let you know when they're good again.
