He is a 3 years to play 2 JC player - so a redshirt to add lbs and then 2 years @ DT?
I'm an ancient history nut, and Marcus Aurelius is something of a hero. He and a later emperor, Julian, were stunningly brilliant and philosophers of the 1st magnitude. Anyway, I digress from the topic at hand but I can't resist discussions of this type!
Coe leaving would be monumentally dumb on his part. He's a senior with one year left and can't sit out. He's likely a sure starter on a big 12 team. Leave and no way he goes to another big school and starts. Would be really huge life mistake for Coe.
Sometimes these decisions are made impulsively in the heat of the moment. It wouldn't be surprising if he's back on the squad within a couple days or so.......if the coaches let him back. I'm sure he and the coaching staff have met, coaches said take a couple days to think about it, but we need to know either way, asap, because signing day is right around the corner. Just a guess.
Don't wanna say too much, but lets just say that he didn't like a reaction to something he did...or rather something he didn't do.
And I agree, huge loss if he leaves. Really came around the last 3-4 games of the season. Like something really clicked for him late in the season.
That would be a MAJOR blow. As a former DL he may be the most under appreciated player on this board. He made huge strides and is now one of our best players imo.
After the way he played the last several games, and considering the inconsistency we seem to experience at the position, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that he might be our most valuable player, especially on D.
I hope Rodney understands that the fans took notice of his play down the stretch....he was a huge factor in the wins at KU and especially at WVU....rewatching that game you see two things from that line....#48 around the outside forcing the qb to step up and you see #9 crushin the pocket inside. Several running plays down the stretch were simply stuffed at the point by #9.....
Take a minute step back and realize the coaches may say things and do things you do not approve of....but, then again it also may be that theyre trying to motivate you into being even better then you currently already are..... being better means all big 12, that could mean an NFL career and receiving a huge payday.

If all is true, I will say that this is what you some times face with juco guys. There is a reason they went that route. Typically, it is grades, character, physical development or maturity. This applies for the ones with D1 skill, like Rodney. Most of those are tough to overcome. Reason I'm cautious on new crop of juco guys.
Okay to change the subject/position discussion - if our staff wants another receiver which i dont think they do - but, i got the guy. Recently decommitted to FIU because he wasnt getting the love....

He's getting late interest since his decommit from FIU from Tulane and Kent St....but he was committed to FSU and FIU and also had offers from Miami. This is how these guys end up at a school like Kent St and everyone says how did they get him.....
Still like DL and RB just saying if they want to take a flier on talented kid this one looks the part....wish he also played DL though....
