NBA: Kobe injured again

Hate to see one of the greatest ever to have to deal with this before they end their career. Thinking about it however, he did come into the L at 17 and played deep into the playoffs every year.

Is this an instance of him trying to get back to full speed too fast? He didn't really ease himself back into the rotation. I mean he was playing starter's minutes pretty soon after he came back.

As much as I am glad that Kobe will finish his career as a Laker, that was an expensive 2 year extension that isn't going to provide much benefit to the team

Annnnd now we have the top story for the next three weeks of every Sportscenter.

Yeah it is.

Hyperextension is presumed to have led to @kobebryant tibial plateau fracture. A strong Achilles helps to prevent hyperextension.

A strong left Achilles helps dampen load & prevent hyperextension on left knee. @kobebryant early return may have contributed to his injury.

I've always hated Kobe because he is one of the most talented basketball players in the world, but chose to channel that into fadeaway midrange jumpers and being the best at making contested shots and being "The Mamba" instead of focusing on making his teams as good as possible and being efficient. Especially with all the basketball intelligence stuff that he gets credit for. He basically lives off of the most inefficient shot in basketball. And he lives off his old defensive reputation, which is pretty much all it has been the past few years, reputation.

Has Dr David Chao ever won 5 NBA Championships, dropped 81 points in a game, or won two gold medals? Kobe Bryant ain't gonna listen to some no talent chump with a weak jump shot.

The Lakers need to begin tanking, now. Trade Gasol, get some assets or some draft picks, and then lose a ton of games. Select Jabari Parker or Wiggins or Smart or Exum or Lavine and build for the future.
