And if we win, no we shouldn't rush the court. Save that for HUGE wins. This would not be a huge win, it wouldn't even be an upset, it would be a good win. The only way we rush the court is if we win on a last second shot.

During the Syracuse run towards the 2003 National Title, I can't remember a home game that didn't involve a court rushing.

Right, because they had multiple upsets that year and games ended on last second shots.

Now this I can see being a legitimate argument for storming the court at this point in our program. I'm not trying to be a downer by any means. I'll be one of the craziest fans in Hilton tonight bar none. Just tired of seeing all these memes on twitter/blogs/etc mocking Iowa State fans for getting excited over winning the coin toss for example.

Again, why care about what some twitter blog etc thinks of us? Why care about how fellow fans respond to a win?

Touche about what other people think of us, should not matter. As far as responding to a win, it comes along with how you change the culture around Iowa State athletics. Fred is changing the numbers in the win column, recruiting, etc. Us fans need to change our attitude towards winning and losing. Beating Iowa tonight would be a good win over a quality rival, thats it.

For what its worth i wish we wouldn't storm the court after any game we are favored in. Just my opinion.
But there are more important things to worry about than that! So not a huge deal either way.

I remember being in the student section last year towards the end of the KU game last year; CAC was going up and down the aisles telling students not to rush if we won because "Fred says we're better than that"

I don't know how much truth there is to that, but if it is true, I can't see CFH wanting us to do it against the Hawks.

Why would you rush the court winning by 20? Ive never seen someone rush the court in a blowout unless its a huge upset.

In the immortal words of Pink Floyd, "Hey teachers leave them kids alone!" All rushing the court exemplifies is enthusiasm! When you quash the enthusiasm of students and fans alike you no longer have Hilton Magic. This idea of act like you've been there or act like we're an elite program is just crap. I've been around basketball my entire life and I can tell you for a fact that the crowds at Hilton are elite and better then 99% of all schools. As long as they show up, scream their *** off, and raise the roof off that building they can enthusiastically rush the floor every game for all I care. Worry about something that matters and be happy fans are in the seats!
