DO NOT RUSH THE COURT

How about everyone react how you want to? If you want to rush, go for it. If you want to sit in your sear, go for it.

This thread will be embarrassing if we lose. Jinx, as the previous poster said

I think we should just rush the court after every win. Makes it a tradition and takes away any whinging by rivals because, "we do that for every game".

Dumb. It'd be an embarrassing tradition if we were rushing the court after beating some no-name non-conference team.

Im heading over to Beyer for the swim meet tonight...is it OK to rush the pool if we win?

All I'm saying is look at the best programs in the country. Do they rush the court/field after big wins? No. There is a reason for that.

Actually, yes, they do.

How many times have you seen Alabama fans rush the field against a team ranked worse than them? How many times have you seen Duke storm the court after beating NC when Duke had a better ranking? Oh wait, the fans tried once, but Coach K put them back in the stands...

During the Syracuse run towards the 2003 National Title, I can't remember a home game that didn't involve a court rushing.

Will we become Duke if we don't storm the court?

We are not Alabama. We are not North Carolina. We are not Duke. The excitement around ISU basketball right now is incredible. If our fans want to show their passion by storming the court there is nothing wrong with that. To a player or a recruit the current energy surrounding the program has to be infectious.

Now this I can see being a legitimate argument for storming the court at this point in our program. I'm not trying to be a downer by any means. I'll be one of the craziest fans in Hilton tonight bar none. Just tired of seeing all these memes on twitter/blogs/etc mocking Iowa State fans for getting excited over winning the coin toss for example.

Life is a lot better when you quit giving a **** about what others think.
