Brackens

I'd have a hard time blaming Brackens when CPR himself is often not in control of his emotions.

Did you see him spike the headset today?

CPR is precisely the kind of coach this board would mock if he coached another team. His sideline antics are way, way over the top.

I've heard he's a great kid, which makes this more troublesome if true.

CPR may have lost this team.

Heck, I almost hope he did. I'd probably prefer that to thinking that everyone is on board and clicking on all cylinders.

May have? This team is so lost that its out walking around the mojave desert looking for ice cream.

I almost wonder if his emotional outbursts get a little old to the players. Does he go to the well too many times with it?

Do they feel like he's giving them the best chance to win w/his own coaching and the assistants he's chosen?

Does the emotional somewhat corny stuff start to get a little old when you're out there getting your butt handed to you week in and week out?

I don't know. I think he'd have a hard time changing and I'm not sure he has another "style".

He's lost the entire program and his terrible personnel management over the last calendar year is the reason for it.

Not directed at you, but as recently as the Texas game press conference, seemed almost everyone was SO PROUD and ALL IN!! "Our coach is on Dan Patrick!!" I have to chuckle.

CPR is now all bluster and talk.....but nothing to back it up.

Now just a laughable quote machine to the media..

Yeah, that definitely wasn't me.

He's got the cheerleader part down pat, it's the other parts of running a program that he's struggling with.

Y'all are turning toxic. I am so glad you're not representative of the rest of Cyclone Nation.

Nealy gets on the post game and raves about CPR getting the team up. Recruits post to twitter about loving the man. But here, here on Cyclone Fanatic, we're just gonna tear him down, spew ignorant garbage, and cycle our outrage.

Our offense is horrible. Everyone knows it. Our offensive Coordinator is gone, and everyone knows it. CPR doesn't make the changes between seasons that need to be made, start calling him out. But right now? We went from thanking the football gods that he is our coach to calling for his head.

I'm ashamed of this community right now. We are embarrassing, and we are toxic.

I certainly hope that, when our basketball team struggles in the early part of the season, you same jackholes aren't going to call for Hoiberg's head, but I've got no faith that you wont.

Yeah, the media probably loves him precisely for this reason alone. Sound bytes, baby.

I don't know what else he has to hang his hat on at this point and some of the fanbase eats it up, which is somewhat unfortunate.

How can you say Rhoads has lost this team? Did you watch the defense today? They played inspired and emotional like Rhoads wanted them to. As for Rhoad's antics, the players love the coach fighting for them when they are getting screwed over. The players and recruits love him and I have seen this first hand.

As for Brackens, he has a history of back talking the coaches, just look to last year when he didn't get to play vs KU and WV because he was in the coaches doghouse.

Both our basketball coach and our football coach have the longest leashes w/their fanbase of any coaches in the country.

The fact that people are starting to turn on CPR, and rightly so, should be a giant wake up call.

And please don't compare Hoiberg having a mid-season slump to what's going on right now in the football program. Hoiberg has had more success than CPR could ever imagine.

CPR should be paying part of his salary to Hoiberg, because in reality, basketball's success and promise is part of the reason CPR's leash is longer.

Who would you rather have running your company, Fred or CPR?

I think that was more so because the coaches thought Schaeffer was the better guy at safety.

It doesn't make his statements wrong. He has a long leash because he ******* earned it by putting ***'s in seats, winning big upset games, beating Iowa back to back years, etc etc. This season is showing a ton of adversity and people are ready to throw him out with the trash. It is embarrassing. Somehow ISU should be above struggling as a team in the B12 which is absurd. Also regarding Hoiberg, I remember very clearly the last 2 years the meltdowns on this forum by idiots who called out his coaching because of some losses. Especially when we lost to Drake and UNI. It's easy to forget idiots when things are going well, but as soon as they don't. They come out here in droves.
