Brackens

I want someone to post a clip of this yelling if at all possible. I wasn't able to watch the game.

6-3 is probably a stretch. I forgot I added Texas Tech in there. Tell me 5-4 wouldn't be possible though. That would be wins over UNI, Iowa, Texas, and TCU. Figure the offense each of those game could muster up one touchdown and that in turn would prevent the defense from tiring as quickly and keep the momentum in Iowa State's favor. Is that a good example for everyone, or will the Doctor just keep LOLing?

OK, I'll give it a try. UNI game was only a 1 TD game because of a fumble near the endzone by UNI combined with kneeling down. They ran right through our defense all night. Iowa game is pretty misleading at a 1 TD game. If the game had been close, I find it hard to believe they wouldn't have continued to run at will against our defense.

Texas and TCU-I may give you-however I'll add that we scored enough points against Texas to win the game-OC's fault?

Just way too many factors to give you 6-3 or 5-4 with a new OC. I continue to believe our problem is, more than anything, a talent problem. Continuously finishing 9th or 10th in the league's recruiting rankings will do that.

Thanks for actually giving a reason for what you said, rather than just calling the premise ridiculous without backing it up.

Appreciate it-by the way, though, I was never the one just "LOLing" at it. I believe this is my only post in this thread.

I know you weren't, and I didn't mean to imply that you were by any means. It's nice the few times on this board when there is legitimate debate.

Agreed Bliel has to go. He is the one who put out offensive line in this position. Quit trying to hide him in the staff.

Not sure what BB has to do with this year's O-line injuries and lack of consistency, but the TEs he coaches are probably the highlight of this year's offense. I know that's not saying a lot, but put the o-line performance on the current coach.

People are crazy and arent living in reality if you think that just changing the OC would have gotten them 5 more wins.

Why not? Look what changing head coaches did for the Chiefs. It's not just Xs and Os but more about momentum. With a better OC Iowa State probably wins UNI and Iowa. Then we beat Tulsa and we have momentum and a team with confidence. It happens all the time in sports.

Oh and i know I'm a little late to the party on the Brackens thing and didn't read the whole thread but a player thats screaming at the coach is a player that cares and wants to be better. The ones that are moping on the sideline are the ones that have given up.

It helps that the Chiefs hired one of the best coaches in the NFL. Do you think we're going to hire one of the best OCs in FBS football? No.

Ames and Kansas City have nearly identical climates. Aside from there being a little more to do in Kansas City, I don't see why not.

One of the absolute best, perhaps not. One with great skill, experience and or/promise, why not? D1 one is the top of the college ladder and there are limited positions. Hiring a new OC would be a buyers market ... even in frigid and podunk Ames IA. :pwink:

That's the point. "Promise" doesn't mean squat. If we could afford a proven, top shelf OC we would still have Herman. The parallel between the Chiefs and us is weak.

At the bball game wearing the fat lady costume again. How is he supposed to get better at playing defense wearing that thing?
