Speculation by some here. Kid had some physical gifts, just lacked in other important areas I guess.
Alabama must be in need of defensive linemen and they're going to JUCO route as well. They've offered Clinkscales. Barney just visited there. Rivals doesn't show an Alabama offer for Barney though, which could be wrong. If we can get two guys to ISU that Alabama wanted, that is a HUGE, HUGE win in recruiting.
They will probably all be playing next year. That RS thing Rhoads was trying to do doesn't work if they just sit and eat cheetoes I guess. Its not working with our current guys.
Bama already has 2 DTs in their 21 current commits and 8 of 9 players returning from their 3-deep for their 3-DL positions. Hope Rhoads & the Burnhams can continue to keep Clinkscales interested and eventually get him to join us in Ames.
On Rivals it lists his name as Dalyou Pierson & it now shows his interest level as 'High'

Clinkscales loves all the attention on Twitter. It seems like the school that will get him the most followers is the one he will choose.
Yep, you're right. I'm sure you have read all my posts and know exactly what I say about every sport. I've never once called for anyone's job which 75% of the posters on here have. I'm negative about things that I see are negative. Football is a very negative sport right now and because I'm honest about whats going on I am automatically part of that group? Good logic sir.
So what happens if next year is a marketed improvement? What do people say about coaching and recruitment then? Oh they will just say we got lucky or some other bs. People call out wally here all the time dispite having a pretty great defense last year. If you put an above average offense on last years defense, ISU would have been a pretty damn good team. But no, our coaches cant recruit or coach because of one bad year. The offense has honest reason for concern regarding coaching but then again, it's one of the youngest offensive teams in the league if not the youngest so we will know more next year.
To answer your pessimistic question that started this. Players stay committed because they believe they can change it around for ISU. Same reason KU was 5th in the recruiting rankings last season despite 2 straight years of goose egging in conference play.
