Ok maybe its just the colors and that darn curve.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the Hot Wheels logo was that it looks like the Longhorns logo. Must be that curve.

It's not being fully implemented until July 2014...nice try though. Maybe they'll give it some work in that time, but I think the concepts will be the same (gentle curve, roman numerals).

Love the new Big 12 logo now that it is starting to be rolled out! I imagine that the Big 12 will require teams to put the new logo on all fields, courts, and jerseys like the Big ten, AAC, and SEC do. Should be pretty cool!

Because (I think) it's not technically the "beginning" for the new logo yet. I think the first official usage of that logo for Big 12 athletics will be this coming football season.

Curious, why does Iowa State not have the Big 12 logo on its football field? Also, why did we never put Iowa State across the ribbon of the "old" Big 12 logo like Texas, Oklahoma, etc.?

From what I've heard, the ground crew doesn't want to put any more paint on the field than necessary because of our weather/climate.

I remember hearing that Pollard said they hadn't put the old Big 12 logo on the Hilton court because they knew the new logo was supposed to be coming out and they didn't want to have to do it twice.
